*ugh* not looking forward to this, i think they are going to piss fans off by not doing a good job, they will make tons of money the opening weekend, then nothing cuz it will suck so bad no one will want to go see it.

i love how this chica is rockin’ the i-haven’t-washed-my-hair-in-a-week look. fab!

  3. Tracy says:

Meh. They could stand to not be such cheapskate fuckers. I hate changing directors mid-series. Look how well X-men did NOT turn out. Bad move Summit.

  6. Trace-mace-2000 says:

    Rushy McRusherson!

  7. birdie says:

Boo on Summit. The allure of the first Twilight movie was that it had, at the risk of sounding completely cliché, an intimate, indie feel, rather than the feel of a film that was unimaginatively directed. The indie feel might also be the result of the film’s tiny budget, so we’ll see what happens when we take a slightly-bigger-budget director and stick him with a poorly financially backed film. That’s on an insanely rushed schedule.
Yeah. Summit’s gonna fuck this one up. Bigtime.

  8. Cat says:

If they’re not careful, they’re going to really piss off fans if they continue to pump out a bunch of crap. And without the fans, Twilight would be nowhere near as successful. If Summit actually put some effort into it and tried to please critics, they could broaden their audience and make a good film as well as a hit.

But of course, they only care about making money. So let’s a look forward to a terrible movie series.

  9. DantheMan says:

Brilliant move. Have a director who already took a much loved book and ruined it with his movie version and give him another much loved book to ruin.

  10. Beet Czar says:

I hope it’s out by Easter, tanks and then these whiny bitches can melt back into obscurity.

  12. Lee says:

HOLY CRAP. I don’t know if it’s the off-kilter way she’s holding her face here but she looks like a living Picasso.

And I don’t mean that as a compliment.

  13. Cat says:

Ya know… I GET IT. The whole world sucks, the media sucks, and all you want to do is chill with some guys, be super cool, smoke, and listen to music. WE ALL GET IT. But could you please just smile nicely for the camera? That’s all I’m asking. Because THIS is just getting ridiculous.

  14. cb says:

    That picture is hilarious.

I could care less about this movie.

  18. Mary E says:

I’m sorry, but the Golden Compass was terrible. I hope New Moon doesn’t turn out the same way.

I just saw Twilight last night, loved the book, but did not like the movie. It felt like they rushed through the entire filming and the acting was forced and mediocre, often laughable! It just seemed like they were thinking “oh the fans just want the movie, they’ll come see it whether it sucks or not”. You can tell they didn’t have much money to spend, and the special effects were poor, and they tried to make somebodies out of nobodies (like Harry Potter) and I think they fell short.

Sorry, long venting… but I still love the books :)

  23. evaaaa says:

a part of me really wishes they had gone another direction…someone who has really perfected dark imagery like del toro or cuaron. this movie could be awesome if it was done the right way, i want it to be have more of a gothic indie feel.

  24. evaaaa says:

also, i still don’t agree with the casting. completely off.

  25. CatLover26 says:

Del Toro would have made an awesome director…or even Len Wiseman would have been a better choice. The Golden Compass sucked. Oh wow, this is going to be a HUGE disappointment.

  26. mells says:

i love her face. and her dirty hair.
