Twilight Series Getting a New Director for New Moon

December 7th, 2008 by Evil Beet

She delivered the biggest opening weekend ever for a female film director, but Catherine Hardwicke will not be back to direct the Twilight sequel, New Moon.

“I am sorry that due to timing I will not have the opportunity to direct New Moon,” she said in a statement. “Directing Twilight has been one of the great experiences of my life, and I am grateful to the fans for their passionate support of the film. I wish everyone at Summit the best with the sequel—it is a great story.”

“Timing” my ass. She got the boot.

What do you guys think?

Does the Twilight series need a different director?

The movie did suck or bite or whatever. She did not include a lot of good stuff and she added in a lot of trash if you ask me. I am so glad there is a new director. I need to be rewarded for my loyal readership!! Let us cross our fingers for no more hot messes. The cast was great.
