And I’m not posting in the early morning. WordPress just released a new version of their product which fixes the scheduled posts feature — it had been broken in the past several releases — so I can schedule posts to run in the early morning now. It’s something I’d always done up until about 6 months ago when it stopped working in WP.

I hired Wendie because I was tired of working on weekends. And traffic hasn’t taken even a tiny dip since I hired her. In fact, traffic hasn’t taken a significant dip in years. It’s always lower in the summer, but that’s about it. We consistently out-pace FListed and ALL the Celebuzz sites in traffic, and by a great deal, too.

Jesus, you talk a lot of shit for someone who doesn’t know what the fuck he’s talking about.

may the traffic “didnt take so much as a tiny dip” on the weekends but it sure took a dip in general the beginning of october (when wendie started) and hasnt recovered since….

You know… I used to knock Wendie when she first started writing because she sucked, but then people on here would say, “if you don’t like her writing… start your own celebrity site!”

So I did… and I love it

but it’s not as easy as it looks. It’s fun as hell, but not easy. So I give Beet a lot of credit.

As far as traffic not taking a tiny dip on weekends… That’s probably because it’s taken a huge dip on ALL DAYS. This site’s Alexa ranking

and comScore Media Matrix have fallen immensely and EvilBeet has been overtaken by some other pretty shitty celebrity sites… including Flisted (which is probably one of the worst celebrity sites I’ve ever read) and most of the Celebuzz-managed celebrity sites.

I’m guessing this is why Beet is posting more often and has started adding posts during the mornings hours (Eastern Time)… If traffic was “fine” then why change?

I mean let’s be honest… This blog is not the best looking, or most technologically advanced site out there. It’s strengths primarily lie with Beet’s writing style (which I have to admit is one of the best I’ve read) and the site’s longevity hence it’s Search Engine Optimization. In the last few months the quality of writing has plummeted with the constant spoon feeding of propostion 8 posts, vegan posts, and Wendie’s weekend posts…and readers have responded.

So don’t knock the people who STILL come on here to slam Wendie for her shitty writing… This site can’t afford to lose them.

Well, I’m not really annoyed. I just think it’s a silly thing to get upset about. People can react to posts as they please, and as long as they’re not being especially vulgar or speaking in ALL CAPS or something, I don’t see what’s wrong with giving a simple opinion (even if it is one you may disagree with).
