She’s anti-charming in interviews, and she was recently spotted smoking a bowl in broad daylight, all of which seems to make people want her in their movies more.
She took a $10M pay raise to do New Moon, the next installment of the Twilight series, and now she’s been recruited to play Joan Jett in The Runaways, about the punk practitioner’s 1970s all-girl rock band.
Can you think of anyone better to play Joan Jett than Kristen Stewart???

I think this is the best pic I’ve seen of her…she actually looks a little like Jena Malone here. Weird. Anyway, her makeup in this picture draws attention to her eyes which are gorgeous. I never really thought she was pretty until now.
she is definitely an attractive girl, most of the time, sometimes she can look a little harsh & too masculine for someone so young… i also think she is definitely overrated as an actress & she seems kind of bitchy. her acting skills seem average…she got very lucky with this whole “twilight” explosion. all in all though, she is okay.

I just saw Twilight and the thing I noticed about her appearance with Regis and her performance in the movie is that they were the same. I’m not sure if she is always like that or if she was pulling a Crispin Glover by bringing a fictional character to an interview.
If you’re not sure what I’m talking about watch the Regis clip and watch her scenes with the other teenagers, like when she makes a sarcastic remark about being kicked out of Arizona.

i use to not care one way or other about her but she’s growing on me. this newly developed acting skill (her twitching and blinking) bugs me and i hope she will outgrow it. she was in the land of women, the movie w/ meg ryan as her mom and did not do that. unfortunately, as dantheman stated, she did pretty much act that way throughout her regis interview. which makes me ponder.. was she even acting? can she act?…

I kinda like her too. The thing about Stewart is I feel like she just really loves acting and that’s all she wants to do, just act and live her life and not deal with all the media attention. I mean, she should probably learn to do press junkets with a smile on her face, but she should be commended for not wanting to thrust herself into the limelight like all these other starletards. She wants to keep her private life private and I don’t think that’s a really big deal. There are a lot of actors out there that don’ t really like doing interviews.
And yeah, I’ve always thought Stewart was particularly beautiful. She’s got this hard edge to her beauty, I want to look like her!
Im sorry, Kristen Stewart is a beautiful (awkward) girl, and she may have been an okay choice in looks for Bella Swan, but her acting is abysmal. Shes monotone, as someone else said, she lacks in emotion most of the time, and it always looks as if shes in severe pain. Her tendency to not smile isnt so much a problem, as she just never seems into anything shes doing. Almost like she doesnt want to be there, really really does not want to be there. I cant watch her interviews its almost makes me ache to watch her stutter and make everything so uncomfortable. If she layed off on the pipe maybe her speech impediments would disappear. I cant believe people are still begging her to participate in movies and the acting business after these photos have been leaked, but at the same time her bad, awkward thing she has going on is kind of alluring. Im a little disappointed they picked her over Alexis Bledel to play Bella Swan. Alexis was ‘too pretty’, sort of an insult to Kristen.
Anyways, props to her for stickin’ to the natural stuff. ;P

if everyone thinks shes such a bad actress than how in the heck did she land a spot in twilight ,shes an amazing actress and shes so real ,she beat out tones of people for bella so shes not a bad actress and anyone can can make a stupid video like that ,so its prolly not even true.
twilight is rife with terrible acting. there are a few shining stars, but mostly, kristen stewart’s acting killed it for me. the original storyline was good, which is what makes it addicting for some, but the acting was simply putrid, due in large part to stewart. she probably beat out “tons of people” for bella because stephenie meyer liked her look, but stewart was abysmal. i laughed my ass off for a good five minutes from her one line in the car with edward (”your. hand. is. so cold.”) to her next line a few seconds later (”woah. what. is. going. on.”). there are absolutely no normal tonal inflections in her speech when she’s acting, which makes for a stiff and emotionless character portrayal.
Everyone who says Kristen is a good actress prefaces there statement with she’s so beautiful and THAT’S why she get’s the roles, because she’s a cute girl.
Otherwise she plays THE SAME person in ALL OF HER MOVIES. Have you guys seen Adventureland? It was awful. She was Bella there, too. In fact, I think Bella is as good a choice for Kirsten as they could ever make, because Bella as a character was boring and lacking any kind of appeal whatsoever, so in that way Kristen was well casted.
