MICHAEL JACKSON has become a Muslim — and changed his name to MIKAEEL.
The skint superstar, 50, donned Islamic garb to pledge allegiance to the Koran in a ceremony at a pal’s mansion in Los Angeles, The Sun can reveal.

A source told last night how Jacko, brought up as a Jehovah’s Witness, decided to convert as he used a studio at the home of his chum to record a new album.
The star — whose hits include The Way You Make Me Feel — was spotted looking “a bit down†by a producer and a songwriter who had both embraced Islam.
The source said: “They began talking to him about their beliefs, and how they thought they had become better people after they converted. Michael soon began warming to the idea.
“An Imam was summoned from the mosque and Michael went through the shahada, which is the Muslim declaration of belief.†Mikaeel is the name of one of Allah’s angels.
“Jacko rejected an alternative name, Mustafa — meaning “the chosen oneâ€.
Brit singer Yousef Islam, 60 — who was called Cat Stevens until he famously converted — turned up to help Jacko celebrate.
It was his pals David Wharnsby — a Canadian songwriter — and producer Phillip Bubal who counselled Jacko.
The pair’s new names are Dawud Wharnsby Ali and Idris Phillips.
Whatever. I read all of this and honestly the first thing I think is “Michael Jackson’s recording a new album??? Seriously????” Please, God or Allah or whoever, let him release it under the name Mikaeel Jackson. Nothing would delight me more.

If you learn about Islam then you will do exactly what Michael did. It is a true religion and you will only understand it correctly if you search for the truth. It is a responsibility of every one of us to research all the religions before coming to conclusions. My conversion to Islam was a long journey. I always had confusion about Jesus being God and sometimes Son of God. Islam makes it very clear - there is only ONE GOD, and he alone should be worshipped. Adam, Ibrahim, Moses, Jesus, Muhammad and many more were all the true Prophets and Messengers of God.

Well is this Christianity? To throw abuses at people in distress? Is this real Christainity to abuse people it could not give light to? Well, it’s nobody’s business, muslim or not it’s up to him. All what we care about is that he feels peace inside of him & get real a little bit.
Islam doesn’t force anyone to change their names after becoming muslim, and yet Mikeel (correctly Mikael) is the same as Michael but as pronounced in Arabic; never met a muslim called Mikael before! anyways, and Dawoud (correctly Daoud) is the same as David … it’s their choice to change it, but they’re really not forced to do that.
I wonder why he did that few days before he’s due to court?!
And for the difference between Allah & God, well, Allah is just one of God’s names mentioned in the holy Quran. The Arabic translation for the word God is Al-Rab, which is used by christian & jewish Arabs, they don’t use the word Allah … I’m a muslim Arab so I know what I’m talking about.

Yes God is the only saviour and so All praise is due to God, Michael has found his way to God’s final testament in the Qur’an. If you want to know God’s last book of guidance to His creation, Mankind, then you too should read the Qur’an. God not Jesus is the only saviour. Jesus never claimed to be God. He said ‘Worship the Lord, my God’, and he prayed to God. Muslims pray to God with their head on the ground just like Jesus did and we respect Jesus as a very important Prophet of God. Allah simply means ‘The God’.
I don’t understand these people sometime, first we don’t know if this is true that Michael has conerted to Islam, second if he did it is no ones business, but his. What your religion is, is none of my business , and you may not have any religion, it still isn’t any of my business. I wish Michael the best. There will come a day when we all will have to stand before God for our sins. All have sin and come short of the glory of God. Ain’t no one perfect. It seem we get our kicks from judging some one else, but if the spotlight were shine on us, I wonder what would be found. As I said ain’t no one perfect. I am a fan of michael’ music, but one thing I alwayes hated about him is Thanking God on every occasion he finds to speak about his success and talent. That’s a shame for a human being to ignore his hardworkings and persevernce and relate it to a delusion simply because the majority of people like the idea. I used to be a muslim and I am really sorry to hear that michael jackson has chosen this reidiculous religion and giving it publicity, a religion which is against reason and logic and supports the stonning of wemen and above all a religion which reprentes the stupidest God among the other exisiting Gods.
It is important to realise that Allah chooses his worhshipers he opens up there hearts and there minds and reaches an inner core not that is not obtainable by manmade or humane influences.
