I think there is more in this song; more pain that does not have anything to do with either one of them. She is not allowed to be happy, that is why she is crying. He is frustrated because it did not happen the way it should have or could have been. His esteem and ego is highly wrapped up in it. Maybe they were young and there were a lot of other things that were going on; things could have been different. Maybe it’s this simple, if he had respected her, really taken her out and treated her like she deserved or fought for that for her instead of carrying on and on and whining like she’s all of it (the problem)… it would have been the greatest relationship. He was definitely in love with her; can’t help himself (Kanye). His heart is still beating for her (The Fray).
