Celebs Team Up Against Al Franken

October 28th, 2008 by Evil Beet

Here’s a group of Hollywood celebs — albeit Z-listers — urging Minnesotans to vote against former SNL-er Al Franken, who’s running for Senate in that state (and who, based on recent polls, may actually win the damn thing).

Among them is another ex-SNL-er, Victoria Jackson, best known for going totally off the deep end with insane religious fervor in the past decade or so. Honestly, whomever you support in this election, the political musings on Victoria’s personal website are fucking insane. Some choice quotes:

“I hope that America realizes that Obama is a communist before it’s too late.”

“Thank you God above for giving us George W. Bush, and for giving us John McCain and Sarah Palin.”

“I don’t want a political label, but Obama bears traits that resemble the anti-Christ and I’m scared to death that un-educated people will ignorantly vote him into office.”

“I wouldn’t want to be Obama on Judgement Day, but I especially don’t want him to be the leader of my country.”

“Come On America! Wake Up! How stupid can you people be?! One of the leading Islamic Extremist organizations, Hamas, endorsed Obama! HELLO!”

Crazy, crazy, crazy bitch.

Haha….funny thing is that some Hamas supporters did actually endorse Obama…however, Al Qaeda supporters just recently supported McCain according to the Washington Post and NY Times. Of course, McCain camp isn’t happy and claims it isn’t entirely true, but here is the link.

Thank you Dinosaurs…The anti-Christ argument drives me nuts. In addition to everything Dinosaurs said, the anti-christ is, according to most denominations, to only become known after the rapture during the late part of Tribulation. So technically, according to those beliefs, the only people left would be the ones who were not already “saved.” The ones who were Christians would no longer be on earth, but rather in heaven. So unless all the stupid people spreading this rumor accidentally missed the rapture themselves, these statements just make it clear how uninformed they actually are about their own religion…THAT’s pretty scary to me! Don’t pass things along without looking into what you’re repeating people…

wow…sorry didn’t mean to send it that many times…accidentally didnt put my info in…so I sent it again…sorry :(

    @ Kinky

No, I would not want someone to die even if they killed someone i loved. I think that life in prison is more appropriate, unless of course they are mentally ill, in which case a mental institution would be appropriate.

But, like in my earlier post, you leave me wondering why the death penalty is “perfectly fine.” you didn’t offer any valid explanation. Why is killing a clump of cells wrong but killing someone who has broken a law is okay? What gives anyone the right to decide when someone dies? If it’s a god issue, and if only god can decide who lives and who dies, then why don’t pro-lifers support all lives, not just the ones they think should have a chance?

I totally agree with Kristy’s and jk’s comments… and yeah, I’m also voting for Obama because I agree with more of his policies and ideologies. And I couldn’t deal with myself if I voted for something with Palin on the ticket.

oh and is tuffyt okay??? like in zee head?

and can I give an enourmous shout-out for JENNATAR and her scopes call out? that shit made my DAY. (DINOSAURS too!!!)

i HATE religious people who misquote/misuse the bible. if you love the bible so damed much, and use it in so many arguments, at least know what the hell is in it!!!! DAMN

what kind of idiot believes every chain email they receive without even taking a half minute to google it? WWJD. Jesus would research that shit, so he wouldn’t look like a FOOL.

oh my gosh, the comments made me smile so much today. thanks guys!!

Ew, Victoria Jackson is crazy. She and Kirk Cameron are like peas in a pod!
I, like most who have commented, am voting Obama for a myriad of reasons. Besides the FACT that Mccain is old, and his VP pick (whose name shall not be spoken) seems dumber than dirt (my favorite was during the Katie Couric interview when she couldn’t even name a single newspaper or magazine she reads to stay updated on current events), I can’t support a woman who is against fundamental womens rights, and I can’t support a man who would pick such a twit. And on a side note, He also grinds his teeth and rolls his eyes too much… now, do we think this is a byproduct of his age OR is he just angry? McCain supporters, what do you think?

    Dearest Jennatar –
Had you taken the time to read down before jumping on me, you would see I was not posting that as fact nor truth, but as an example of what “radical Christian extremists” are sending around. No, I did not research it. Why? Because it does not matter to me if Obama is the antichrist or the angel Gabriel – I’m not voting for him based on what comes out of his mouth. And I know that the few, and I mean FEW, intellegent Obama supporters on here, have already done their own research on this. It’s been going around for quite some time. We’ve all seen it.

Do not call this MY ‘anti-Christ’ claim – I did not write it.

And it was my mother actually sending this, unless there’s Email in Heaven.

Have a great day in the Lord, Jen!

“I wouldn’t want to be Obama on Judgement Day, but I especially don’t want him to be the leader of my country.”

you know, i dont think obama should be the leader of her country either. so you get the boxes and ill get the tape and we can have her half way to ireland faster than you can say islamic terrorist

Jennatar, Dinosaurs, keep on rockin’ on with you r awesomely bad selves!!! Best posts EVer, up there, thank you for taking the time to write them out & post them up.

Eyes of Green. You said something stupid, and inaccurate, got called out for it, and then tried to deny it. GEEZ. Just admit that you’re wrong. Only after when everyone proved you wrong, you were all, oh no, like that’s just some thing I found. NO eyes. you posted it as fact, answering Dino>>> “And don’t worry, Victoria Jackson. Your rants don’t give you a political label, they just illustrate how you are a fucking lunatic. I wonder which traits of Obama’s resemble the anti-Christ…”

    which you responded with:

Dinosaurs – to answer your question:
According to The Book of Revelation the anti-Christ will be a man, in his 40’s, of MUSLIM descent, who will deceive the nations with persuasive language, and have a MASSIVE Christ-like appeal….the prophecy says that people will flock to him and he will promise false hope and world peace, and when he is in power, will destroy everything…

Knowing that like 99% of the posters on here are not Christian/religious, I’m sure this will go over well.

    …………….

Dude. You’re so full of shit. You acted like you were quoting the bible, everyone told you that you were wrong, and then you tried to deny it.

I swear…. with the 10+ years of Catholic schooling that I went through…. I swear that there was SOMETHING in the Bible about being a big liar face.

And then you try to make it seem like Jennatar is the uniformed idiot. How effing ridiculous. So you think it’s okay to spread hateful lies, just because you are not voting for Obama? I don’t go around making up dumb shit about McCain.

God, maybe if you and your mom knew any actual facts, you would change your vote. You never know.

I was thinking all this too, ThatLisa, but didn’t have the whatever to call Eyes of Green out on it, ’cause I’m still tryna be in “nice” mode, here at the Evil Beet, since i’m relatively new here. But Eyes of Green, she really has a paoint here, bella. When you’ve been called out and you’re wrong, the best thing is to just woman-up and admit it and go from there. people will have infinitely more respect for you when you take it on the chin and roll with the punch and be a strong woman about a call-out, you know? I think you’re cool, I do like you, so that’s why I’m just backing up what ThatLisa says here, it’s good stuff to live by.
