Terrence Howard Replaced in the Iron Man Sequel

October 22nd, 2008 by Evil Beet

Hollywood’s a rough place, even after you’re famous.

Apparently Terrence Howard’s character as Iron Man’s sidekick was replaced with Don Cheadle in the film’s sequel, and he learned along with the rest of us.

“It was the surprise of a lifetime,” he told NPR on Tuesday. “There was no explanation, (the contract) just up and vanished.”

Ugh.

Honestly, why does anybody want to work in this industry?

They are both good actors. Someone on that film has an agenda or a beef of some sort. Or someone feels like Cheadle deserves his dues and Howard is getting screwed in the process. Howard may know the truth but isn’t saying.

I actually like more Cheadle. but um, being replaced like that must suck.

Was he being a demanding male Diva? It sounds like they were trying to teach him a lesson.

I think if you start with a character you thought was suitable enough to start with, finish with him too. This will end up being a “whose playing Batman this year joke”.
