Absolute Tragedy
October 15th, 2008 by Evil BeetThe creator of Passions, James E. Reilly, passed away this weekend while recovering from cardiac surgery. He was 60.
I don’t think anyone can deny that this man was a force of nature. Passions is the only soap I ever watched, because the sheer insanity of the plot lines went beyond the traditional soap-opera tripe and into a realm of such absurdity it can only be described as genius.
Rest in peace, Mr. Reilly.

Aw and then ya had to go and put a clip with timmy in it! Double sad. Passions was the ony soap I ever watched too, I started witht he very first episode, I also loved how you could go weeks without watching it but you could tune back in and it would wither be the SAME day STILL or one of the characters were flashing back to something that had happened over the time you missed and you’d catch right back up.

I loved Passions; it’s the only soap I ever watched. I mean, what other show involved a chimp, a midget, and incest? (Besides Jerry Springer, of course.)
