It’s funny to me how many people criticize Sarah Palin for her accent. How many people in this country have accents? How many of you have ever mispronounced a word? I agree–the nuclear thing is annoying, but it doesn’t necessarily mean she’s an idiot. Joe Biden called Bosnians “Bosniacs”. Does that mean he’s an idiot? If you feel that Sarah Palin is not qualified for the position in which she is running, that’s fine, but criticizing her accent just makes you look petty.
To JK, who suggested that I vote for the one whose policies I agree with…..that obviously factors in to whether or not I “like” the candidate. I’m sorry if that wasn’t clear. I don’t “like” some of McCain’s policies, nor do I “like” some of Obama’s. This election, to me, isn’t as cut and dried as it is for some. That’s all I was saying.
Biden is more qualified – but Palin is more human. I do belive Palin is normal with normal problems – I don’t think Biden has ever had to struggle or worry about insurance or healthcare . Who do most americans have more in common with?
Joe Biden CORRECTLY pronounced Bosniacs. It is a real word.
According to Wikipedia:
“Bosniacs or Bosniaks are a South Slavic people, living mainly in Bosnia and Herzegovina (”Bosnia”) and the Sandžak region of Serbia and Montenegro”.
So, no. That doesn’t make him an idiot. It actually makes him look a hell of a lot smarter than most.
I think I have come up with a great campaign slogan for Mrs. Palin;
RUN, SARAH, RUN!!!

If Palin is in fact “more human”, its time to give up on humanity. She reeks of phoniness, and said virtually nothing of substance. Then again, those same qualities never seemed to get in GW’s way. Her canned statements, all delivered with a smile and flirty winking would be laughable, except that they probably worked on a lot of people. It’s great that we expect so little of politicians that the media talks about her performance as “not as bad as feared”. Basically she said she supports things that are good, and doggone it, she doesn’t support things that are bad. I mean, by gosh, that’s the way it is in Alaska.
I think she would make a good weather commentator. I hope the “all of the above” policy involves a grand piano falling on her head.

It appears as though this is causing you a lot more distress than it is me.

I don’t understand why people have to berate others political views. And then constantly making fun of Palin because of how she says a word? It serves no purpose. No, I don’t agree with many of her views nor find her adequate to be our VP but I’m not mocking her. I just really don’t see a point in it.
