Hugh Laurie, the super-sexy star of House, recently had his home robbed.
HOUSE star HUGH LAURIE has been left “unnerved” after his Los Angeles home was ransacked by thieves.
The British actor had his laptop and a number of other personal items taken in the raid on his new $4 million (GBP2.2 million) Hollywood Hills mansion earlier this month (Sep08).
Laurie, who relocated to the U.S. in 2004 after landing the role of Dr. Gregory House in the hit medical drama, and his wife Jo were asleep when his house was targeted. No one was harmed in the break-in.
Laurie, 49, revealed the news of the burglary after arriving late for a U.S. TV interview to promote the forthcoming series of House.After apologising to the TV crew, he said, “We were in bed when it (the burglary) happened. I came down this morning and said, ‘Where’s the laptop?’ Then we realised.”
The star is the latest celebrity in the area to fall victim to burglars - it is believed the same group of thieves are responsible for raids at the homes of singer Faith Hill and her husband Tim MCGraw, and movie studio boss Sherry Lansing, who all live nearby.
A police source says, “The raid on Hugh Laurie was very similar to ones we have been investigating in that area. It is lucky that he did not disturb the burglars or we could have been looking at something much more serious.”
You know, I read this several times, and I just kept thinking the same things over and over again:
1) He’s married??? That bastard!!!! and
2) I wonder if there was a sex tape on that laptop.

but i think it’s super cool that we didn’t know that about him, like as in… NOT being able to recite the full name and birthday and personal medical history of each member of a celebrity’s family is really kind of interesting.
but still, my prevailing sentiment here would be the following:

I fully concur with 1 & 2, altho I did already know he was married (UK gossip rags are fun to read). But he’s no less a bastard for being that way.

Ya, seriously, isn’t a group of security guards part of the 4 million dollar home? I guess I wouldn’t know seeing as I pay 480 dollars a month to live in an apartment in Toledo, OH. Fuck my life.
He has kids too. But google pics of him and his wife and you will feel muuuuch better, I thought she’d be so much more hot! Looking at very old pics of them though they both look pretty goofy, he just got better with age…she didnt.
Not only is he married, I’m pretty sure he has three kids. He also has a brother that helped him get the House job.
People suck. On saturday I was working the cash register at rite aid when a guy came in and was like I have a gun open the register. (That’s what I get for moving to philly?) Being robbed is SCARY.

He is definately goodlooking and I’m glad to see that has a real wife and not a flakey Hollywood wife. I hope he will always honor his marriage and family, and not let the restlessness of Hollywood get to him.
