I loves me some Jack’s, but I hate the quality of Andrew McMahon’s voice on the new album. He’s going for a whiny sound or something. I heard “The Resolution” live when they were touring with Paramore over the summer, and I loved it. The recording is just not as good, and it’s because of his voice. Slightly disappointing, but I still love Jack’s.

Jack’s Mannequin is, like, the half-ass version of Something Corporate. And I loved Something Corporate from the get-go, so it’s really hard for me to NOT hate this band.

there are a couple good songs on the glass passenger, but something corporate was much better.
I miss Something Corporate (I’ve heard that they are going to release another album in the not too distant future). I love Andrew and JM though and I’m really glad he’s still making music.
This band is great… Now isn’t the lead singer got MS or something? why they split up Something Corporate? And Beet, check out Black Lab if you like JM… same great sound! Love this song!

Lovers of SoCo - I agree. Well, halfway. I miss SoCo a ton, but I like Jack’s Mannequin very much as well.

You guys, I have to admit, I am a huge SoCo lover, but I actually prefer JM. I think I like that it’s more piano-centric. I dunno. But I’d be thrilled with a new SoCo album too.
