I Am in a Much Better Mood Now

September 30th, 2008 by Evil Beet

This evening, I had the true honor of being invited to an advance screening of Beverly Hills Chihuahua.

I can say in all honesty that this is the single greatest film in the history of mankind.

Never have I been so moved by a work of cinema.

Truly, it was a masterpiece.

My full review will run on Film.com later in the week. I shall post a link here when it does.

But those of you who were excited for this movie — like I was! — you will not be disappointed.

Although I do have to say one thing: the real star of this film was the white, female chihuahua (her name is Chloe). But the poster features the brown, male chihuahua (named Papi). See? Even with dogs the men get unwarranted top billing. Hollywood is so sexist.

The film opens October 3. Be there!

Big call there Beet. I’ll check it out based on your recommendation. Let’s hope it cements your credibility.

  2. PWS says:

Beet, why was Leo not in it? You are a star just like he is.

  3. Tiffers says:

I hope you’re being serious because my kids are begging me to see it when it opens.

  4. Donkey Punch says:

People who really care about dogs cringe at films like this. People see the movie and suddenly want a dog like this. A few months down the road the dog is abandoned or abused.

Thanks, Beet! I’m glad you liked it! Was it kid-friendly? We are all (Quesadilla included) going regardless to see it on Friday at the Drive-In. Fun times.

Eww. This movie looks terrible. You couldn’t pay me to waste 2 hours of my life watching this garbage.
