Not much going on tonight, so here’s a look at one of the stranger collections we’ve seen out of Paris fashion week: the Gareth Pugh line.

I have never seen something so fucking ugly in my life..
For some reason it annoys me that they are all wearing the same shoes.
I don’t understand this “fashion.” No one will ever wear it, it is wasted material and wasted time. This isn’t fashion, it’s costume design, and sub par at that.

gareth pugh is more about art and surrealism that readytowear and he always has been
i ADORE gareth pugh. and i agree with alana. a lot of his stuff seems very stanley kubrick-esque. he’s certainly not about functionality, but it’s damn fun to look at.
I.. I don’t get it.
It’s not costume design it is fashion&gareth pugh always experiments with concepts and shapes…not everything is for everyone as gareth pugh is quite contemporary. It’s not “ugly” it’s just different at least admire the skill it took to create a look like that and execute it fabulously…and appreciate the fact that it’s not your everyday 12 dollar shirt that became over priced because a designer added a ruffle
it is so incredibly impractical. Honestly, who would buy/wear this? No one. Thats who.

I like a lot of the ideas and techniques. The last dress would be super cute with a less flowing skirt. It’s interesting, but the first two are too over the top.

i have always wondered why elizabethan collars haven’t made a come back. they look so comfy.
i actually like this collection. at least it is different and thought provoking, unlike ms. bilson’s collection of jeans and tee shirts or lauren conrad’s been there done that dresses.
@tss - we are charger fans and i seriously thought my husband was going to hunt that man down and kill him after the denver game. at least he is answering all of his hate emails and apologizing. i wonder if he’ll lose his job shortly?

i like the idea of this, but not sure about the execution. it is over the top but most fashion collections are not ready to wear in the sense of being right off the runway and into your closet, they are toned down for the buyers. intersting…i’d like to see more.
