it’s hard not to admire Paul Newman for putting his money to work in such productive ways, such as his Newman’s Own line–high quality stuff and the proceeds go to good causes… very smart.

I never really got into his movies until I watched Slapshot (I’m really into Ice Hockey). I’ve been quoting lines from that movie since I first watched it – I think I was like 9 or 10 when I first discovered it. That movie got me into a whole new genre of movies that I, then, discounted as old and silly.
Anyways; I’m totally bummed that Paul Newman passed.
He had so much zest and ingenuity beyond his film career. It’s like seeing an extraordinary Victorian house being torn down knowing that some cookie cutter condo is going to occupy the space. Not the most fitting way to describe my feelings but saddened is the best way I can put it.

He will always be remembered as a class act and one who left a legacy of style while demonstrating what talent is all about…

seriously, i feel bad for his first wife (who’s probably not around any more, but still)

what must it feel/have felt like being the EX wife of someone whose SECOND marriage everyone keeps gushing about

my mind just immediately goes there, i’m weird like that
