Britney’s Got a Hit on Her Hands

I’m not sure what’s happening in your cities, but Britney Spears’ “Womanizer” was blowing up the radio in Seattle today. It was the most-requested song on, like, all the pop stations. I heard an evening radio DJ say, “Listen, I’m the ultimate Britney hater. Can’t stand the girl. But I’ve been fielding calls for the past three hours, and I have to say: this girl’s got a huge hit on her hands.”
I’ll tell ya, I’ve been rocking out to the track all night, and I love love LOVE it.
I am SO PSYCHED for a real Britney comeback.
Seriously, I’m already trying to figure out which of my girlfriends I can talk into coming with me if she tours. Because if she tours, I will be there, even if I go alone, dammit.

So I don’t care much for Brit either way, but I do read some (SOME) of the stuff she’s going through. When you posted the song, I didn’t care, and didn’t listen. But you kept talking about it so finally I was like, “fine fine” and listened to it.
It’s not like a HOLY SHIT WHAT AN AWESOME COMEBACK song, but it’s def. catchy. I could totes see myself dancing to this in the car.
I like the “ah ah” part.

Beet, Im there with you at the tour. Im in Seattle, too. I saw her Onyx Hotel tour and, though I was there “to take my lil cousin”, I ignored the child all night and was fixated on Brit.

I tried to like it, I really did. The song just sucks big time. I can’t imagine who would be requesting it so much. Probably teens. The whole thing just sounds so fake and engineered. Doesn’t even sound like a real person’s voice
i was really crossing my fingers for britney, hoping she’d make a real comeback, but this song SUCKED. i couldn’t even finish listening to it, i had second-hand embarrassment from it.

damn it britney say something else because she doesn’t really sing. she just sort of chants the same word over and over in a nasally engineered sing-song way.
i had to stop 3/4 of the way through.
although, the relentless repeating of the word womanizer did stay in my head for quite a while. so there is that, i guess.
Enabling her to have the confidence to get her shit together? Who cares if she isn’t the next soprano to sing the lead in the magic flute or something?

Just learn to appreciate things for the work and the effort. Don’t pick it apart!
You know what it just pisses me off when people start harping about these entertainers who can’t sing and blah blah blah. You know all these people download the song and secretly listen to it on their I pods.

britney is just splendid the end.
Regardless of what the song’s like, I’m really happy to see someone who had hit rock bottom getting back on their feet and doing well. Good for her!
