Tom Cruise in Valkyrie: The Trailer

September 25th, 2008 by Evil Beet

It’s heeeeeeeeeeeere!

The film’s been delayed time and time again, but, at long last, the very first trailer for the feel-good Hitler-assassinating film of the year, Valkyrie, starring one Tom Cruise has been released.

What do you guys think?

Will you see it?

  3. burningStereo says:

I will definitly go watch it. My ex went to school with von Stauffenberg’s granddaughter, I wanna know all about this movie… will they have Scientology adds in it anyhow?

  4. Gee…Tommy playing a petite and insane dictator. What a stretch for him.

  5. Oh duh…Tommy isn’t Hitler? Off to bed for me.

  6. Jessica says:

I thought he was playing hitler too :-p oops

  7. Neal says:

    I kind of want to.

  8. Jen says:

No. These movies bore me to DEATH. Plus, not really a fan of Tom.

  9. josie says:

It actually looks interesting. Probably a rental though.

  10. djoeke says:

the woman you see in the trailer is Carice van Houten, an amazing dutch actress, won a lot of prices in holland, totally talented!! We’re so proud she’s in this movie! :)

  11. susan says:

Looks top notch, I am there!

And you Cruise bashers need to lay off him and try getting a life for a change….

  12. Poppanna says:

Oh my God, this is so embarrassing. Tom Cruis is such a fucking disgrace. The Hitler era is still a very delicate subject in Germany, and he puts it into this little action/hollywood flick. Wow, classy.

  13. sjb2k1 says:

i want to see this, but the problem is, i don’t see a character. i just see tom cruise in an eye patch.

  14. JustMe says:

Sad but true, I like the trailer and will probably see it. Question is, will I wait for the DVD or haul my ass to the theater.

  15. quirkygirlkitten says:

no. tom’s eyes are so maniacal now that i fear he will burn through the screen and steal my soul.

  16. YO MAMMA says:

Is he suppose to be German? Can’t he even do an accent? Best part was the mosquito being burned by the cigarette.

  17. Señor Loco says:

Poppanna, chill out! It’s just a movie. If it offends you, don’t go see it.
It doesn’t appear to be anyway to glamorize Hitler or the Third Reich — in fact, it appears to be doing just the opposite.
I probably won’t go see it because they don’t use the word “dunkoff” even once throughout the whole movie.

  18. slouchy says:

Tom: “You just wait! I’m going to take over United Artists one day and then I can make whatever movies I want. Jah, dummkopfs! Take that, bitches!” I predict people will stay away in droves.

  19. Bee Hind says:

    Maybe Netflix.
    Maybe.

  20. weluvourcelebs says:

hmm, i LOVE the trailer, but i really HATE true stories, specially if they have anything to do with like, huge historical events. so i probably wont go to the theater, but ill watch it when my dad says something like ‘ hey theres a hitler movie out, lets watch it for history class!!’
and didnt the voice guy die or something?

  21. Donkey Punch says:

I so could see Scientologists admiring Nazis.

  22. Anon420 says:

If it had another actor in the title roll, not Tom Cruise, I would. I don’t and refuse to see anything with a $cientolobot in it.

  23. Maddy says:

It’s an interesting topic, and the cinematography looks amazing, but I just can’t buy him as a German, not even an attempt at an accent (not that he’d be able to pull it off anyways).
