Miley Cyrus to Star in Non-Hannah Montana Movie

It looks like Miley Cyrus will be signing on to do a new Disney film — and she won’t be singing or dancing!
The Hannah Montana star, 15, is set to star in an untitled Disney film based on an upcoming novel by author Nicholas Sparks, Variety reports.
The idea for the film came out of a meeting where Cyrus used Moore’s A Walk to Remember – a film adaptation of Sparks’ 1999 novel – as a model of the type of project she hoped to work on next.
Sparks is writing the book and the screenplay simultaneously. Cyrus’s mother, Tish, will serve as the film’s executive producer.
Cyrus will not sing in the drama, whose plot is a secret for now.
Miley’s working to complete her transformation from child star to mainstream actress.
Will it work? Can Miley actually act? We’ll find out.

I never saw “A Walk to Remember”, but it seemed like an after-school-special. Only more melodramatic.
Of course she can act. She’s been on Hannah Montana for how long. Obviously she has talent, because if she didn’t she wouldn’t be a multi-millionare.

May I suggest updated old TV show.. only call it Sigmundana and the sea monsters, where Miley meets and falls for a beach guy and longs to leave her monster status, but HE wants to be a sea monster so he can be the most freakish Rock singer alive? A wiley witch will perform the body exchange if they do as she wishes. Comedy, teen situations, parental disapproval, pranks and rock garage-band music and laughs will abound., because even if he becomes a monster, she will still love him and not be afraid..
