Her album debuted at #1 on the Country Album charts. Yeah, I guess #1 is not doing so hot.

Overall CD sales are down in all formats, plus, for the most part, country doesn’t sell as much as rock albums, sad but true. unless they are the crossover aimed efforts like taylor and carrie….Jessica is trying to establish a presence in country, so she’s not aiming for crossover right now.

I say congrats to jessica, she’s succedding in country which was her goal. I like her new album. People just like to put her down and will find any way to do it. To me it’s laughable to put down a #1 debut! (and a country album debuting at #4 in the all-genre chart isn’t to shabby either!)
