Jennifer Hudson’s Marrying This?

Meet David Otunga, who successfully proposed to Jennifer Hudson on Friday night, her rep confirmed. They’ve been dating for less than a year.
Now, he’s not terrible looking — a little bit of a creep factor, but it could just be a bad picture — and he graduated from Harvard Law, so he’s not a dummy and he certainly has earning potential, but he’s also the same guy who was known as Punk on I Love New York 2.
I don’t have a whole lot of deal-breakers in my dating rulebook, but I’d be pretty wary of going out with a guy who appeared on any ultra-trashy reality dating show. I would be doubly wary of anyone who appeared on that show’s follow-up season.
It’s funny, because if I just heard Jennifer was marrying this buff dude with a Harvard Law degree, I’d be like, “Score, Jen! Totes jealous!” But add in that he appeared on I Love New York 2?
It’s like if someone said, “Listen, Beet. I have the perfect guy for you. He’s tall, he’s hot, he’s buff, he’s smart, he’s loaded, he’s funny, he’s sweet, he’s just amazing!”
I’d be like, “Woah, sounds great, when do I meet him?”
And then they were like, “Well, here’s the catch — and you just let me know if this is a deal-breaker, okay? — he died two months ago. But other than that? He’s ideal. What do you say?”
See, sometimes all it takes is one little piece of information to ruin an otherwise perfect guy.

I understand some people might not like David aka “Punk”. I just find myself wanting to know how many of you actually watched the whole show? It’s a bad picture you have there. David really isn’t fat. If you watched I Love New York 2 you would know he is very muscular. Number 2 he doesn’t need Jen’s fame or money…. He has a job of his own and is very capable of taking care of himself. He is nothing like K-fed as I saw someone previously compare the two. I do not believe David made Jennifer popular either…. She was around for a while and is a gorgeous person. Instead of constantly hating and tearing someone down. Why don’t we just say Congrats Jen & David… Then just leave it at that. I happen to have watched both seasons of I Love New York and I happen to think David is a decent man. He treated Tiffany well and most likely he treats Jen well. As for saying how long proposals should wait before being asked…. When you know you want to spend the rest of your life with someone you just know. Some of the longest lasting marriages I know are from people who were engaged in under a year of knowing each other. Besides why do we care…. if it doesn’t last it’s only hurting them. It’s not our business.
People have to do what they think is right for them at the time. As outsiders, we cannot dictate what Ms. Hudson does. However, I would advise her to get an attorney to write up her prenuptial agreement and also make sure if Mr. Otunga is her manager, that she gets another attorney to read any contracts BEFORE she signs.
(If I were her best girlfriend or a family member, I would tell her run for the hills. If this guy is an attorney, why on earth would he stoop to be on a reality show as mindless and as silly as “I love New York”. This tells me this person wants to be in showbiz at any cost. ILNY, like the Flavor of Love from which it was spawned, was ridiculous and insulting to anyone of any intelligence. Mr. Otunga is looking for a ride into the big times on someone’s coat tails. I can’t see this union lasting more than a couple of years. We will revisit then.)
What ever. I am so sick and tired of people talking about David Otunga and Jennifer Hudson. Not any of you knows them personally, so why are you all up in their business. And he does not look gay. People are so quick to call someone gay, because of the way they look. Get a life and mind your business. I am pretty sure Jennifer Hudson can take care of herself, she’s a grown woman and knows who she wants to date. MIND YOUR BUSINESS!!!!!!!!!!!

Tiffany is a hater. David has not said anything bad about you. Jealousy is all over you, and your trashy unclass tale ware it well. This couple do not need your blessing, you don;t even matter now nor back then. David has gone from ashy to classy. For real though he never wanted you from the start. David went on the show for the experience. I heard you tried to sex him, and he rejected you. I am just going to say this you are making youself look like an ass. David and Jennifer is going to get married, and they are perfect for each other. A match made in heaven. God is all up in it through and through. So by-by my hater.
