Spotted: Fashion icon Sarah Jessica Parker wearing those atrocious Katie Holmes-inspired man pants with the cuffs rolled.
Sigh.
It’s all over, kids.
These things are in.
Now excuse me while I go buy a pair of Spiderman boys’ underwear and use them as a headband, since that’s clearly the direction the fashion world is heading.

I know everyone is hating on these boyfriend/man jeans…however, really they are better for us ‘avearge’ girls than the skinny jeans. At least I can feel a little fashionable again if these man jeans come into style. Or something…..

Oh Beet, how could you utter SJP and Katie Robot in the same sentence? Quite frankly, I don’t mind these on SJP, as a matter of fact, I’m a tad weary of the ‘painted-on’ jeans look. Especially the low rise, ‘look at my thong and muffin top’ look so many girls are sporting. It’s sad to see a fat girl dressed in skin tight clothes a la Mariah Carey.
I hate this look, seriously please, all of you, STOP FUCKING WITH US MERE MORTALS!!!

I agree with Beth. I actually think they don’t look too bad on SJP.
i believe they look better on SJP because they are actually women jeans that are just baggier. on the other hand, katie is wearing actual men jeans that have a waaay too baggy crotch.
Woah Schmillian Speak for yourself. I’m an average girl and those look atrociously awful and they look terrible on me. I think they are ugly ugly ugly and will never succumb.
duh, those are just boyfriend jeans, rolled at the cuff. no pegging here, it’s the peg and roll that is so repugnant. check the katie holmes photos, you will see the difference.
I remember when leggings first came out and everyone on these blogs were saying how they’d never wear them…i wonder how many pairs of leggings you all own now!
Boyfriend jeans have always been really popular over here with the “trendy” girls. Which is a bit of a misnomer as they dont follow trends at all – they look the same, always, no matter what year. They always wear the baggy boyjeans, but without the rolled cuff.
Me, i’ll be sticking to the skinnies, thanks.

Feminine looking woman – SJP for example – can always get away with wearing boy clothes. It’s sexy. This is Katie’s downfall. If Katie still had her long beautiful hair, she could get away with wearing anything. Katie come back!
First of all, Beet, that sounds like a plan. Get on that STAT, before Katie beats you to it. It would be a great addition to the newest fashion; Aladdin-Couture.
Secondly, Sarah Jessica Parker IS NOT A FASHION ICON. She’s like the Elizabeth Taylor of the fashion world. One person said she’s the most beautiful woman in the world, so suddenly it was true. Except that it wasn’t. Half of SJP’s wardrobe is atrocious, and the other half is hardly notable! True, sometimes she has a hit, but it’s way outweighed by the buckets of misses. I just can’t see what everyone else apparently does, I suppose. Hmm..

Daniella, speak for yourself, just because you don’t want Sarah Jessica Parker to be a fashion icon doesn’t mean it’s true. Nobody said that she’s the most beautiful woman, but she has a sense of style most people lack no matter the help of a great stylist, IMHO.
