The greatest irony is labeling corporations soulless when they have no power to FORCE anyone to do ANYTHING. How utterly *STUPID* and *IGNORANT*. If Heart had a single brain cell among them they would defend corporations and rally against the only social institution that CONTROLS people – Government. Yet no liberal dares face reality.

Reagan was in the military for more than 8 years, and because of vision problems (this was decades before eye surgery and well before contacts) was not given a combat rating.

to independantvoter: hee, hee…you actually admit that you would still go see journey, heart or cheap trick? especially cheap trick? hoowee!! if they’re the hottest summer tours it’s because people like you are still listening to cassette tapes. if you’re a male, i bet you still wear leisure suits. if you’re a woman, i bet you still have your mum from your high school prom. for those of us that have moved on to ipods and downloads, i’m just thankful that i don’t have to endure your concerts, as i’m sure the sight of you aging rockers ‘getting down’ and doing the gator and shit is something your kids, and those of your peers that actually advanced, would be ashamed to watch. rock on!! and i actually feel for ann wilson. vut for a short time, she was always the ugly one and had to live in the shadow of the totally hot sister. i guarantee you if this band had been two fat women…they wouldn’t have been near as popular. for you oldsters, just look at the mamas and the poppas…two mama cass’s would have sunk that ship too. lesson in life..you always gotta have a pretty one in the group to make it big. oh yeah, i hear rod stewarts touring! better get in line for that too.

If the alternative to listening to the down right REAL rock of Heart is, oh, Avril or Good Charlotte or Fall Out Boy or imitation R & B, ala Timberfake and Rihanna, I’d rather just stay inside and pretend there’s some fucking real musicians being promoted instead of the crap out there now. Fashion Rocks, my ass. Vocoder, ass, and mucho payola, and ya got the current crop of successful “artists”. I saw Heart a month ago and Ann can sing all of them under the table and Nancy can out play just about any of these wannabes.

Please…it boggles the mind….

As to politics, the “normal” average person WOULD think Heart approved…it’s a given. I can see why they don’t want to be associated. The musicians may have helped write it, but Annie Wilson’s VOICE makes it memorable as HEART. Just the facts, m’am.

The Wilson sisters are not the sole writers of Barracuda. The other members of Heart, who are listed as co-writers of the song, have stated they are fine with the Republican party using the song, and consider it good publicity.

I love Heart, and Im waay under 40, so does everyone else I know. Stop making up reasons to degrade them just because they dont want their music, that they worked so hard on, to be associated with these crappy people, who didnt even care enough to ask permission.
