Fun with YouTube: Katy Perry, “Waking Up in Vegas”
August 29th, 2008 by Evil BeetSo Katy Perry’s pretty much been the princess of this summer’s music scene with her ginormous hit, “I Kissed a Girl.” I finally got around to listening to her entire album on Rhapsody, and came across this song, and I was like, “Dude, how do I know this awesome song?”
And then it hit me: it was my MySpace song like three years ago. I have no idea where or how I came across it, but I’d instantly fallen in love. Has this song been around for that long? Where would I have heard it? Do I need to start telling people that I was into Katy Perry before anyone else? Am I that cool?

I’m sorry, but I have the CD and the entire thing is garbage except for “I Kissed A Girl” and “Ur So Gay”. Which is a shame, because I was really looking forward to it’s release before it came out. I guess I just don’t like pop music as much as I thought I did.
Hey Beet:
How did “my lover” get through your rigorous new screening process? I was loving your site without spammers dragging their asses (like a dog with a nasty case of worms) all over your comments section.

Katy Perry is just garbage music. She cannot sing, she does not look good and her parent’s are ashamed of her. They might as well be, she is just as mainstream as any other band out there these days. Terrible TERRIBLE music.

Her music is garbage because her parents are ashamed?
I’m sick of people whining about mainstream or pop music. Go listen to your bands that no one’s heard of and feel really special, just stop telling me that my music sucks.
