Heading Out for a Bit
August 25th, 2008 by Evil BeetLeo and I are going with my dad to look at a lavender farm, per my demands. I don’t know why I absolutely insist on seeing a lavender farm, but I do and I’m really excited. The Olympic Peninsula area is like the lavender capital of the country. Yes, I’m also the kind of person who would insist on seeing the world’s largest ball of twine. So this thrills me.
Afterwards, I’m driving back to Seattle, so I’ll check in with you guys again in a few hours. Try to stay out of trouble in the meantime.

hey! I have actually seen the world’s largest ball of twine. It resides in Cawker City, KS. I used to drive past it on my way to the army base. ah, memories.

the lavender farms around seattle are awesome! theres a small one on vashon that i love.
while you’re at it get some lavender salt and lavender sugar… lavender salt is absolutely delicious with fresh veggies… and sugar will add flair to just about anything… :)
If you ever have a chance you should definitely go over and visit vancouver island in canada. it’s really close to seattle and there are beautiful temperate rainforests that you can hike around. if you enjoy that kind of thing.
While you’re gone, I’m going to ponder the depths of TSS’s latest scathing comment.
Lavendar is my favourite scent of all. I wish I didn’t live too far north to grow some!
