What Do We Think of Ed Westwick’s Poetry, Kids?

Ed “Not Gay for Chace Crawford” Westwick has broken the cardinal rule of fame — never, ever, ever share your poetry with the media. (You hear me, Jewel?)
Ed shared a poem he wrote (from memory!) with reporters at the launch of Coke’s new aluminum cans. He says he wrote it “at like six in the morning.†Um, something tells me the kind of coke going into Ed’s system doesn’t come in an aluminum can. Because, like, who the hell in their right mind just recites their own poetry to reporters on a red carpet? It’s not that there’s anything wrong with writing poetry. It’s just that there’s a time and a place for it.
Tell me what can you want?
You’ve got it all.
Things are real in a handshake.
Rest my bones these days in a different way.
Cherish the change; it may not stay.
I remember your dress,
Like dreams when you wake with a sudden start.
You’re beside me in the dark,
Wrapped in my arms.
Love is being entranced in a glance,
To muster up courage when you’re flustered,
To stumble on the words you prepare.
Don’t worry about the money that went down the drain
Because the best things in life are free.

I never really was a fan of poetry, but this is especially vomit inducing.
the first half is nonsense, the second part is shit everyones heard. . .and yeah its the coke talking im sure.

last night I lay in bed looking up at the stars wondering about poetry and the universe…..when suddenly I thought to myself…”where the fuck is my ceiling?”
I like it. Poetry is personal and it takes a lot of guts to share it. And people’s reactions to it will vary. It’s OK.

I liked the beginning of it, but the end got too hippy for my tastes. But he can recite me cheesy poetry any day <3
