That’s what just ONE of the lawyers in Britney Spears’ custody battle cost.
$700 an hour!
And Stacy Phillips is claiming Britney hasn’t paid the $338,414.87 she’s owed for just a couple months of work. That number is after courtesy deductions and $75K she expects to receive next month. Britney’s camp is balking at the number, but Stacy says because she handled all the conservatorship stuff, her legal work was very complex and took up a lot of hours.
BUT $700 AN HOUR???! For a child custody case?
Jesus Christ, is she turning Sean and Jayden into solid gold? What the hell is ANYBODY doing for $700 an hour? That’s more than Tara Reid paid her plastic surgeon. Clearly I need to go to law school.

Um, this wasn’t just a child custody case. This was about getting a psycho coked up whore off the street. Britney put Laura Wasser through so much grief she should just turn over her entire bank account, because nothing can make up for those missed court dates and proving herself the worst client in the history of litigation.
MW is right. The amount is so high because her conservatorship is complicated. Its not just about the kids.
They totally should have charged more, long azz complicated case!
Beet, do not, I repeat, do NOT go to law school. 99.9% of us will never make $700/ hour! And you are worth way more than that for making me laugh all day anyway!!!

Yep, that is a load of $$ but actually not so unusual for hourly rates. Partners at big-city firms are generally charging $500-$1,000 per hour now, and even more junior workers bill quite high. Heck, you can have 4 yrs work experience with just a B.A. and have a billing rate of $300/hr…
I paid 450.00 an hour for my custody battle 3 years ago. I live in the Los Angeles area and I’m a nurse who was making about 70,000 a year at the time. My ex was/ is a millionaire. So these are the going rates for the area. He paid 75 per cent of my bill I paid the rest. Cost me over 120,000. Had to refinance my house to pay my share of the bill. So if one partner has a high profile attorney the other party needs to get one to win the case. It was worth it for me in the long run.
beet i was totally making $700 an hour about 3 years ago, but i can’t go into the details because my daughter reads this blog sometimes! plus i’m totally bullshitting, i made that much a couple times, but usually it was closer to like $400. . .
attorneys in new york bill about 700 an hour… not to say they actually get paid that. the firm they work for bills the attorney for that much…. and then of course partners at law firms are billed at 1000 an hour if not more.

Maybe killing them would be a little extreme, but certainly there should be some legislation that allows the common Joe and Jane to have one and not have to sell a child to pay the bill.
THEY ARE NOT ALL LIKE BRITNEY’S LAWYER! Which should provide some comfort. My bankruptcy lawyer, when he found out I only had $23.00 in the bank said, “You can’t afford my fees, would you like to trade me one of your paintings for the job?” (I am an artist.) I did and he did his job well. I will be ever grateful. Thank God for people who still are connected to the real world.

Her latest partner in crime is new judge Elizabeth Feffer downtown in Los Angeles Superior court .If you ever have to go in front of this judge and against Wasser, run you will get no justice, but discrimination and your baby will be stolen. And if you have clean record, they will find something, Laura Wasser is going to hire investigator Gavin De Becker and they will get you on anything or make it up. And when she is done with her crime, the judge will order you silence. Watch Wasser, how she elegantly hides in court chamber alone with the judge before the hearing. They have their systems. And transactions happens right in the chambers. Mel Gibson should Watch out, no wonder he feels that the judge was unfair, Wasser bribe her.The last Crime Wasser did, is to steal baby away from actress Elena Eustache together in their crime scene by Elizabeth Feffer and they order her silence for 15 years, which is against constitution and cancelled all her witness and she has to pay $ 3800 a month to spend 36 hours monitored with her own child , that she raced alone for 3 years and father didn’t even wanted to be involved , because Mt. Naveen Andrews can pay for Wasser services.And the court appointed neutral agency is” Gavin De Becker “- military trained private investigator, who replaced Pellicano. The can harass and stock your life , when they please. Devil Hollywood Mafia corruption , who is gonna be the next baby suffering in the Evil ring of Wasser and judge Feffer.If you rich and want to commit crime like Naveen andrews and Barbara Hershey and steal child, call Laura Wasser, she will take care of it.

This is so scary. Where is the justice, Didn’t Dennis Wasser used Pellicano and Gavin De Becker too? Wasn’t he investigated by FBI for wire tab.His daughter Laura Wasser surely learned some evil tricks from daddy. Where is the justice and what is going on? Poor Elena Eustache, and the baby Naveen Joshua, they steal him from his mother. These Evil Celebrities, Naveen Andrews is so crazy. How can he do this to the boy? How sick . He is really LOST. Barbara Hershey hires investigator Gavin De Becker to stock Elena Eustache. These people are so evil .I hope Elena gets her child back and these people end up in jail.What is happening with our justice!! What a crime to steal a baby from his mother!!!

Judge Elizabeth Feffer makes $$$$$$ working on the bench. Laura Wasser and her firm pays her loads of money in chambers to steal children and seal the cases. Only in 2009 there is 6 sealed cases, where they steal children from mostly mothers.
There is no justice, no witnesses aloud, no attorneys can help.
Judge Elizabeth Feffer should be fired by January 2010 , because many people have serious complains against her for stealing children for money.

She is less than 2 years on the bench, her father in law got her in, he was judge Irving Feffer, if he knew, who is his son marrying too, he would be shocked.Judge Elizabeth Feffer has no back round in family law,she was a police officer intern, who decided to get rich on the bench and make fast cash with celebrity attorneys, like Wasser Cooperman & Carter firm and Laura Wasser and few others. Each case is anywhere between 200 -500 000$ for stealing children for Elizabeth Feffer. All the cases are sealed – BF. so no public can see what is going on. She also likes to give GAG orders to the parent who looses the children, so they could never speak publicly and children have no contact with the other parents. Often they hire people and monitors on the other parent to discredit them, so they could never see the children again.
I think the FBI should get involved what is going on downtown in Superior Court with Elizabeth Feffer and bias cash transactions.
Very very scary.
If you lost your child in few minutes with no evidence or witnesses and Elizabeth Feffer sends you to evaluation 730 only and have you monitored , by someone that the other parent picks to discredit you, please speak up.. There are many of us , now you know why.
Oh good grief, not ANOTHER Eustache-mouthpiece flinging garbage about in an attempt to circumvent the judges gag order….which is in place to PROTECT the child, showing once again how much of a vendictive media-whore she is and how she is NOT a concerned parent. Always thinking of herself……
I came to a similar conclusion about Feffer before I met Elena. Elena is doing pretty well for a woman who had her baby sold to an old woman and an irresponsible actor.
If Naveen cared about the child, he would not take the mother away from him.

If Eustache cared about the child, she would not have kept the father from visiting in the first place.
If Eustache cared about the child she would not have exploited him from gestation. First sells her pathetic story to the National Enquirer, appearing in a picture of her pregnant and looking comically sorrowful, claiming she was on the pill and that the father told her he was through with Barbara Hershey.
Except that doesn’t explain the timing, Eustache became pregnant one month after the Golden Globes, where according to the pictures on her IMDB she was present. The selfsame awards function Naveen was nominated for, and was with Barbara at the time. Eustache knew EXACTLY what she was doing.
Then setting up the child’s (at 18 to 19 mos old, mind you)own IMDB page as an “actor” in a movie, complete with pictures, and pictures of him on her own IMDB page before she was caught and they were removed.
Before the gag order, she was milking having a child by a celebrity, as she put on the child’s bio on IMDB:
