Tropic Thunder Dethrones Dark Knight

Despite a weak opening day, Tropic Thunder came back, fighting off both Michael Phelps and Batman to take the weekend’s top box office spot with a $26M weekend take. This is now Robert Downey Jr.’s second number one movie of the summer. Hey, Bob, aren’t you glad you’re sober instead of dead right now?
The Dark Knight came in second, after four weeks at the top. The film has grossed over $471M in domestic ticket sales thus far.
