Oprah Winfrey to Attend Democratic Convention

John McCain may accuse Barack Obama of being the “biggest celebrity in the world,” but perhaps that honor belongs more to Oprah Winfrey, who will be on-hand to support Obama at the Democratic National Convention in Denver later this month. But she’ll just be there as a fan.
“Oprah has not been asked to introduce him, is not expecting to be asked to introduce him and I would doubt that she would want to introduce him. She thinks this is his moment,” said Oprah’s BFF Gayle King.
Heh. Wherever Oprah goes, it’s Oprah’s moment.
I wonder if Heidi Montag will be at the Republicans’ convention.
One can only hope.

i don’t think their demographics really line up. they cancel one another out and create a popularity black hole. her ratings dropped after she endorsed him and he didn’t really see a boost in his campaign like books do when she tells us to read them.

It is funny how Oprah has suddenly turned into a Democrat. All this time she has been a hardcore supporter of Bush and the Republicans.

For years, I have hated Oprah. I hope she doesn’t put too many people off of voting for Obama. Honestly, it ticks me off that she is putting her “name” on this “product”, too, because it cheapens it for me. But I can rise above because I know that Obama is the person we need to lead this country, just wish Oprah would back off for freaking once.

@ Donkey Punch: Oprah has always been a Democrat. Always! she supported Clinton in the 90’s, as well as Gore ang Kerry. You can look up her donations to all political candidates online.

oprah supported ahhhnold who is a republican for ca governor but only because he is married to maria shriver. however, when you look at the policies that he has put in place during his terms as the governator, it turns out that mr schwarzanegger is actually a democrat in republian clothing. so maybe oprah knew something that everyone else didn’t.
