im sorry wat happened to ur mom kanye west but we die it happens and ms.favre is right she died at home from plastic sugery that is not good to have plastic surgery i dont know why people do cruel things to there body but u should be happy the way god made u nobody should judge the way u look even if they didnt judge and i am soo sorry once again R.I.P Donda West

why did kanye, with all his money, allow his mother to go to such a shady doctor? seriously – sounds like he was one step up from a walk in clinic. i also agree with E: people who are hell bent on cosmetic surgery will go anywhere to get it, whether it’s safe or not.

Her death was due to her drug use-she abused drugs and alcohol. Had been doing so for quite some time and even though she was warned against doing them after her surgery she did so.

I believe she was turned down by two other surgeons. Black women are in a category that should be looked at more closely, heart disease is very undetected in ALL women until it’s too late as it is. Never mind being of a certain age, it boggles the mind this wasn’t a law before her death.

And yes Paige that was cruel to say, she was an accomplished woman who died needlessly.

I’m always annoyed by legislation in response to a famous person dying. Like, “Oh wait, people who *matter* are being harmed? We better do something about this!” I’m sure the legislation is a good thing, but seriously… No one who didn’t birth a celebrity ever died under similar conditions, and thus serve as the impetus for such a law?

people must have blood work done prior to having any type of plastic surgery. and mrs. favre is right about Donda not dying IN surgery. she died at her home. and i must also add that she and her family new damn well why the first doctor did not want to perform surgery on her; b/c of her pre-exisiting condition. she was not happy and decided to seek a doctor who WOULD perform her surgery regardless of what sort of condition she had. vanity kills.

Those who want plastic surgery badly enough will keep looking until they find a doctor, however unqualified, to do the procedure. Everyone seems to have forgotten the deaths that occurred when liposuction was the new thing, until officials cracked down on the practitioners who weren’t taking the proper precautions…
And it is elective, so I think it rests with the patient, if they are so determined that they are willing to have surgery despite health risks they know can be a problem, it’s basically just a roll of the dice.

She did not die during surgery. She died at home. There are bad apples in every profession. I worked in surgery for 20 yrs and no way would this woman have been allowed to have elective plastic surgery in the facility I worked at. Hollyweird is a different story
