From the LA Times article on the proper way to to wear peg-and-roll pants, which are apparently making a comeback this season.

Its a boyish look, because you need to have a boy silhouette in order to pull it off, do you understand how hiddeous and ridiculous will this look on women with wide hips? or Chubby legs where the pants need to be like size 15 in order to look baggy… I HATE IT! I was waiting for the Skinny leg tube pants to go away and now THIS!!!!! so sad, I’m never going to be on style!

have you seen reese witherspoon? she’s been spotted wearing her pants the same style recently.
i don’t mind it, i like it! haha. i’ve always liked wearing men’s jeans on lazy days and i think it can look cute… but i think it looks weird on katie holmes just because she’s wearing flats and huge diva sunglasses and a weird jacket.

i just looked that the jeans on jcrew (mentioned above) and they actually look much cuter than katie’s… hers need a little help, but i can definitely see this style becoming the fall trend

i’m sorry, but katie holmes has never been a “style leader”… her clothes are so boring and she’s never been seen as a “trend-setter” by people who follow celeb clothing… so until some “trendier” girls start wearing these… like the olsen twins, kate moss, rachel bilson, kirsten dunst, etc, they arent going to become a hot trend… tho they cud become a trend within the general population, if theyre less picky, i guess, but somehow i dont see that happening…
