I’m Too Sexy for American Television

Here’s the new Calvin Klein ad featuring Eva Mendes, and, for just a second, Eva Mendes’ nipple.

It’s been banned in the U.S., because nipples will corrupt our children. Seriously, the biggest problem facing today’s youth? Nipples.

Anyway, CK’s probably getting more exposure for this damn perfume by having this commercial banned than they would have if it actually aired. The only time I’ve watched commercials during the past five years is when they’re on YouTube or during the Super Bowl. I don’t think I’ve watched live TV since, like, Dawson’s Creek was still filming new episodes.

    They could take the practice of naming perfumes for things that are bad for us (My Sin, Heroin, Obsession, Medical Waste…OK I made up the last one) even further by just coming out and calling it “Nipple” …since nipples are indeed a proven source of corruption (and milk).

    beet, look deeper why. if you have children you’d know. i am not a prude, but it is the context of it all.violence the same. age appropriate things need to be shown and not so much sheltering. “just” a nipple it is not. it’s weird. nursing nipple is different than a sexualized horny one. think about it.

    I went to my sister’s house yesterday and I found my 9 y.o. nephew all strung out from doing nipples. I don’t know if he was shooting up or snorting them, but the little fella was in bad shape. Something must be done about nipples!!!
