looks like shes trying to take a cue from best bud Victoria Beckham (when she wore the baggy jeans w/ a belt at disney land) but really can’t pull that off. no cuffs!
I had some jeans like that in the late Eighties. My grandmother used to say that if I pooed in my pants, the poo wouldn’t fall out! Katie, have you pooed in your pants??? Hahahahaha

I’m willing to admit, I kind of like ‘em. Not so much the tapered cuffed part, but the bagginess and the belt are kind of hot. *shrugs* I don’t know. I’m a fan of androgynous fashion.

okay, i have to confess to commandeering and wearing my hubby’s old levis – they are nice and baggy and super comfy for slouching around the house. when i saw these pix i rolled up the cuffs, instantly realized i looked like a dork, and put them back. this style is like a dexi’s midnight runners flashback. come on eileen!
Yeah, so like back in 4th grade (1990) we used to roll our pants like this. It was uber idiotic. We’d like, fold the extra fabric over and then “tight roll” them and we all thought we were the shizzle. We’re were stupid and Katie Holmes looks stupid wearing those pants.
i can’t get past the hair to even look at the cuffs… it’s just awful.
Actually, in Stockholm it’s kind of trendy to wear oversized pants, but chinos are preferd before jeans.

Beet, I love you and your site! I LOVE all the personal stuff! But,as I am A LOT older than most of your fans I have to tell you that waaay back when I was a teenager this was called “pegged” pants. You would take your pants (other than jeans) and have the cleaners taper them at them bottom of the leg(sometimes you could barely get your foot in!) My mother always swore I would become a juvenile delinquent for this and for wearing my skirts too LONG! Surprisingly I turned out fine.
This is what most of the “gangsta” population at my school does.
I only do this if I’m wearing my longer jeans & it’s raining hard. Having a foot of wet jean leg wrapped around your ankle is not comfortable!

Yeah, we used to “”peg” or “french cuff” our jeans in middle school. Now its only considered acceptable if the wearer is riding a bicycle.
I can’t believe that early 90s fashion is now making a comeback. *shudder*

I like baggy jeans on fellow chicks. I used to wear similar jeans in my late teens (around 2003) but I rolled them just under the knee and paired them witch All Stars slips or Vans. It was a hardcore thing, you wouldn’t understand. :P
They would have been fine-maybe even fashionable if it werent for the cuffs. There not even really cuffed, more like sloppily rolled up, before she walk in a deep puddle or something! Sooooooo beyond ugly. And the rest of her doesn’t do any better.
BUT SHE HASN’T A CLUE ABOUT STYLE. MONEY CAN’T BUY YOU TASTE.
