Jennifer Lopez is Going Back to Work!

Question: How much did you guys miss seeing Jennifer Lopez on the big screen?
a) OMG so much!
b) Not at all.
c) She used to do movies?
I guess raising children wasn’t quite as fulfilling as Mrs. Marc Anthony hoped it would be, as she’s signed on to do the romantic comedy The Governess. Or maybe she likes the kids just fine, but she’s looking for any excuse to get away from her Crypt-Keeper husband for as much time as possible.
Here’s the plot:
Story centers on a professional thief who, in order to pull off a major bank heist, poses as a nanny to the three unruly children of a wealthy widower. When she starts to fall for the kids and their father, she must decide if she can give up her past for a chance to start over.
I’ve said it before and I’ll say it again: the woman-as-bank-robber plotline never, ever, ever works. I challenge anyone to name one time it has worked. I know Katie Holmes can’t think of one. So, please, Hollywood, stop trying.
Actually, I’m noticing a pattern here: maybe women only do bank-robber movies if it’s the best excuse they have to spend some time away from their creepy husbands. Hm.

A). i think shes a great actress, and i happen to like female robbery movies, Mad Money gave me some good ideas.

Set It Off was a great movie with Jada Pinkett, Queen Latifah, Vivica Fox and Kimberly Elise and bank robbers.
Yeah, the Sean Connery and Zeta Jones flick worked… Lopez movies are always so crap so I don’t know why she bothers.

I love JLo movies. Really! Except Gigli-that was awful.
wow! beet, that’s one fucking ugly photo that you ran! of course, i’m totally okay with that ’cause i think jennifer got beat with the ugly stick and they finally ran out of enough makeup to cover up the bruises! she and the crypt keeper actually are a match made in heaven and i predict that their kids are going to be uglier than the all time ugly child of two famous parents — chastity bono!….. and the race is on.

Uh, im sorry but Set It Off is one of the best movies I’ve ever watched. Made me love Queen Latifah forever.
Her eye makeup looks absolutely terrible in that shot.
I too love JLo movies on a sunday afternoon. The Wedding Planner, Maid in Manhattan, Enough, Angel Eyes, Out of sight… all very good to curl up in bed and watch. I heard An Unfinished Life was good. She has made some bad movies, but so has every actor.
I totally agree with everyone who said “Set It Off” I’ve been fans of all of those women since. QL was bad a** in that movie. Entrapment was good too.
Faye Dunaway kicked ass as a bank robber in Bonnie and Clyde.
