For the record, I was at Country Thunder, have gone for the past 6 years and she was booed and cheered throughout her show. However, being there first person I can say that the boos certainly outweighed the cheers…the bulk of those cheering for her were families and parents who brought their younger (between 12-16 years) daughters with to see her.

Mind you CTUSA is typically and rough and rowdy crowd, and it was very unfortunate that so many families came out to see her as the crowd was very unreceptive and pretty wild up on the hill while she performed.

Her performance had its moments, but was all in all pretty rough. She really, REALLY whined a lot about how rough her life has been rather than just perform and entertain the crowd. I totally understand she has only one “country” album out (those songs were pretty much pop with her singing with a twang) but she filled her lack of songs with constant ramblings of how devistating her love life has been…this festival is all about having fun, and I’d say 3/4 of her set was a downer with her stories. In the end, I felt like she just assumed the crowd would love her and did not take any measures to ensure she was an entertaining presence on stage.

I wish her well in the future, but also wish she had picked a different venue than a crapload of drunk folks looking to party to use as her coming-out country party.

Country is where to go when you can’t score big on the pop charts.
Jessica Simpson was smart to make this move. Her rendition of ‘Take My Breath Away,’ was the absolute WORSE!
I hope she find success in her new venue.

She is a tool. Country music should be embarassed, and I doubt real country lovers aren’t embracing her stupid act.
You can have her, hopefully she keeps that threat as a promise and never makes another pop album, ever.
Nick was the one who came up on that divorce. She was selfish and disrespectful to Nick. She cheated on him with some really creepy men. She should be ashamed and hide that man face.

I met Jessica when she came with the USO tour for the troops… she was incredibly nice and very shy. She posed in picture with everyone for hours and signed everything everybody asked her to. A very sweet woman. I always am sad when people complain about it or make fun of her!
