Some people just aren’t cut out to be proper parents. Moms aren’t the be all and end all of parenting. Dads are sometimes the better choice. When my mom left and my parents divorced it was decided my sister and I should stay with dad. It was the best decision for everyone. My mother was not the right choice. I still love her and she is my mom but I am glad my dad raised us.

If Britney can finally see that she’s not parent material, I commend her for stopping the expensive and divisive fight for custody. Everyone, kids, parents, and extended family would benefit more from a more casual and organic interaction in terms of custody and keep the legal bitterness out of it.

The father always loses because courts have an unfair bias towards women. Britney has to be really fucked up in the head (as we all know) to lose custody.

Its a sign she’s doing better because she’s giving up her kids. Sometimes being a better mother means handing the kids over and admitting you suck at being an every day mom. Better to give them to someone who wants them than to keep them and fuck up their lives the way she was doing. I congratulate her on her insight and mature decision. And comments like Some Chick’s up there is what make it so hard for people like Britney to do the right thing without worrying about friends and family judging them. Then kids get raised in abusive and neglectful situations because “Some JUDGEMENTAL chick will think I am a bad mother if I give my kids up”.

I am a dad, not a mom, of two kids – 4 and 6 years old. I would have to abduct my kids and take them to GUAM in order for my wife not to live with them.

In my opinion this shows who she REALLY is – immature attention whore who does not want to deal with the daily “stuff” of being a real mom and not a paparazzi mommy. She put her career ahead of her kids and even though I don’t share the natural bond a woman has with her own child I would sell my soul to keep my kids with me.

Let’s get something straight…
Britney didn’t have a breakdown because she lost custody of her children.
She lost custody of her children because she had a breakdown. A VERY PUBLIC (by her own choice) breakdown.
I’m thinking she prefers being a part-time Mother … Maybe THAT’s why she getting better.
Look .. not everybody is cut out for parenting. Stupid people keep having kids even when they are clearly NOT cut out for it.
Oh and on her getting better? I’m not so sure. She still has that glint in her eye when the paps are surrounding her. All that bullshit pretending to hide behind her purse and all… It’s an act.

She needs to focus on getting better, she has her children as much as she can handle and as much as they can handle. The boys have a routine at dads house.. they have structure, kids need that. Life right now with britney will not b that. The boys will know that mom loves them. She sees them. She hasnt abandoned them. She finally has their best interests first. Good for her. I wouldnt want to try and live her life. Not in a million years.
