I didn't see anyone crying for Sarah Larson when Clooney ripped her heart out, or giving condolences to Sarah Silverman when he started sticking into another girl immediately (post?) break-up; but just b/c Owen tried to kill himself that makes Kate a horrible, horrible trouble maker.
