Katie Holmes Is an Actress?

I’d nearly forgotten, and so, it seems, have all of New York’s theatergoers.
The much-hyped Broadway revival of Arthur Miller’s All My Sons, in which Katie Holmes will star, is having some trouble selling tickets.
“I bought 1,000 tickets to the show,” says one broker. “I still have them.”
Compare this to Nicole Kidman’s 1998 B’way role in The Blue Room, which sold out like crazy and landed a then-lesser-known Nicole on the cover of Newsweek. (In fairness, Nicole got naked in that play.)
No one’s viewed Katie Holmes as an actress since her Dawson’s Creek days, and it seems that even a stint on Broadway can’t add respectability to her career. Who knows, maybe she’ll do an amazing job and everyone will have to eat their words, but I doubt that.

let’s face it, i can’t even name a good movie she’s been in in the last 10 years (other than batman that she was horrible in). the only reason she’s gotten so much publicity these few years is because she married tom cruise. i think her acting is wooden and unbearable to watch. that dude might as well flush those 1000 tickets down the toilet cuz no one is going to buy them.

wonder boys was great movie… she wasn’t a key player, but that was less than 10 years ago. and pieces of april. she stars in that one and while not as good as i’d hoped it would be, was still a good film.

I liked The Gift-she didn’t have a huge role, but I thought she did a pretty good job-and you saw boob.

I bet you the person who bought those tickets is in relations with Scientology to make it look as if people would be interested in seeing the show!. Also I have noticed they have increased ads for Tom’s Risky Buisness dvd on youtube. They are very desperate for attention haha.
As for Katie, her movie career is pathetic. Its like she isn’t making ANY sort of effort to improve her acting technique. Her career is failing by her own choices both professionally and personally (being with Tom who is a part of a cult which is now being exposed) She pretty much killed any chances for a good movie role, what makes you think she is going to be amazing on broadway!! LOL
