Having suffered several ankle foot injuries myself, it’s good to get the x-ray. Perhaps they’ll give you a cold brace that has ice packs and a boot to wear. Crutches suck since your underarms, forearms and back hurt when you use them.
Keep it elevated and take the pain meds and anti-inflammatories.
Try the arnica too! It really does help…topical and internal!

Hope you have better luck than my mom. She broke her arm twelve days ago, and had a follow up appointment today to see if the swelling had gone down so they could put an actual cast on it…after x-rays, they just informed her that she has to have surgery on it next week. She has all kinds of torn ligaments.
Hope your injury isn’t as shitty.
