Nelson Mandela Is a Very Important Person
June 25th, 2008 by Evil BeetNever mind all the anti-apartheid work and the Presidency of South Africa and the Nobel Peace Prize; you can tell that Nelson Mandela is important just by looking at the celebs who came all the way to London to celebrate his 90th birthday.
Attendees included: Uma Thurman and super-rich hottie boyfriend Arpad Busson, Will Smith and Jada Pinkett-Smith, Denzel Washington, Forest Whitaker, Leona Lewis, Kelly Preston, Joan Baez, Kim Cattrall, Oprah Winfrey, Pierce Brosnan, Naomi Campbell and Robert DeNiro.
Damn.
And I also haven’t gotten like 18,000 press releases about how such-and-such is attending Nelson Mandela’s birthday party, so it’s almost as if these people have no ulterior motive for being there.
Happy birthday, President Mandela!

b) i love jada’s dress. i mean, for a 4′1″-ish tall woman, its gorgeous on her! i’m 6′ so i’d look like swamp thing in it, but then again, so would Uma Thurman and yes, i am totally ok with saying that in the same sentence…

I was pleased to see that Mandela finally said something strongly against Mugabe.

Sam, can you give me some of your height, please???? I’m 5′6″ and would give ANYTHING to be tall.

Wow, I love the pink dress. Who is wearing that anyway?
June 26th, 2008 at 6:27 pm
Leona Lewis (Britain’s Pop Idol?) is in pink.

5′6″ is tall enough. Any taller and you’ll be cranky that all the cute boys are too short. Take my word for it, seriously.

Hey, did any of the relatives of his (mostly black) bombing victims turn up, or was it just Hollywood stars? How about any of the millions of black people in SA today for whom the ANC has done fuck all since taking over?
Anyone can sit on their ass in prison for thirty years, it don’t make them a fucking hero. It was Mandela who turned the ANC into a terrorist group which was too busy killing other black people to effectively take on the whites. Sanctions killed Apartheid, not burning tyres filled with petrol or bombs in cafes.
Fuck Mandela; Tutu, Biko, Tambo et al were the heroes. Mandela was a messianic cunt and deserved to be in jail.
[Incidentally, about ten years ago a British journalist called Brian Walden had a series in which each episode studied the validity of certain heroes. One episode dared looked at Mandela, who he really was and what he really did/achieved. It was the last time Walden was seen on TV......]

What Jay said. Mandela was a cunt, who was imprisoned for bombing civilains (in a stand against apartheid, good cause, bad course of action). As SA president, Mandela spent billions on arms while millions of his (black) people starved to death.
