The Newest Spears Spawn Born this Morning

The entire Spears clan was gathered in a hospital room in Mississippi this morning, where Jamie-Lynn Spears delivered a baby girl via C-section at 8:30 am.
The delivery appeared to go smoothly, and JLS is resting in a recovery room now.

Why does the media have a fanfare over this bastard child to an underage mother? Not really the “role model” that everyone wants todays kids to see. Whatever, I get a kick out of watching Hollywood and the famous meltdown. Just don’t understand why America loves making the rich richer by watching them both in life and on reality TV.

Antisocialite, I was commenting on the situation. Yes I am glad she kept the child, but if she had kept her legs closed and been a true role model none of this would have been in the news! The bastard comment was in no way branding the child but the situation. The child was born into a situation that it had no control over. I am glad that it is healthy but now worry for the child as it is being raised in an oh so evidently stable family and lifestyle.

I’m sure everyone on this site waited until marriage to have sex so they have nothing but highest of moral ground to preach from. Come on now, yes she got pregnant too young, but she wasn’t flaunting in the spotlight of LA…Louisiana, yes, Los Angeles, no. She and the father handled it in an adult manner. Any pictures we’ve seen during the pregnancy were from unwanted and unsolicited intrusions by paparazzi who staked out such celebrity hotspots as Walmart in Kentwood, LA. To call a 17 year old a whore who has remained with her boyfriend, developed a plan of action and set up a home for the new arrival is horrible. She made a mistake, but this “mistake” is gonna be loved by two people who seem to love each other…so get off their backs.
I agree with Rob. There are a lot of teenagers getting pregant all over the country. This one just happens to be rich and famous. At least she is lucky in the fact that she doesn’t have to worry about money or where she is going to live. Let’s face it, had she terminated the pregnancy, people would still have lashed out at her and called her even worse names. Im not a fan by any stretch of the imagination, but maybe she’ll prove everyone wrong.

I’m the product of a teenage relationship. My Mother went on to earn three college degrees, graduate with a 4.0 on all three of her Bachelors, and have a successful career without neglecting me and without the assistance of the government (i.e. welfare). Judge not.
A lot of teenagers are having sex. She happens to be on a television show. Perhaps she is not the one to blame but rather her stage mother. She’s not even old enough to vote yet. I applaud her for taking the high road and choosing life. How easy to get a ‘quick fix’ with an abortion? If it had come out in the media that she terminated her pregnancy, you’d be talking shit about her then too.

No I actually didnt read the other one until after, so then I get why she did it. C-section is just so much more common in USA then in Sweden where I live. I dont get how anyone would want to slice up themself when there is a natural way of doing it. It aint that painful :)

wow, you all are seriously pathedic. a lot of teenagers have sex these days, so she did and she happened to be one of the ones who fall pregnant… because shes a celebrity gives you no right to jump down her throat. she didn’t commit a crime, she a had a baby and she stepped up and is doing whats right. that should make her an even bigger of a rolemodel, considering a lot of people take the easy way out. her life is stressful enough without having to hear such bullshit from ignorant people like you.
