I noticed this link @ picLense - Since I grew up living next door to the Snider family I have enjoyed an In-n_Out gold card for some 36 years now. Eat your hearts out… as I eat my burger.

I’ve heard the secret to getting a really great Whopper is to ask them to make it fresh. While I haven’t tried this yet, my source, who once worked for Burger King, says he asks for this every time and the staff always obliges. Supposedly, the difference in taste is unbelievably better than compared to that of a burger that’s been sitting under the heat lamp for any unknown period of time.

Your step-grandmother is awesome. Not only for reading your blog but for remembering and being realistic. I love those little gifts like that that don’t cost anything but are THOUGHTFUL. I mentioned in passing once to a co-worker that I love Harry Potter. Two weeks later he comes in with a coloring book page of Fluffy (from the first book/movie) that his daughter had colored for me. He had just been playing with her and she was showing him her new Harry Potter coloring book and he mentioned “Oh there’s this lady where daddy works who loves Harry Potter”. That was it. She went on her way coloring and brought the page to him to bring to work to give me. freaking adorable. I still have it up on my cubicle wall.
