Check out this interview that Pete Wentz did with KISS FM in Arizona.
At around 13:50 in the interview, Pete says that he and Ashlee have been “keeping a journal for them when they’re born.”
You can tell he totally realizes he screwed up, but it doesn’t seem like the radio DJs noticed!!!
It DEFINITELY seems to me like Ashlee Simpson is pregnant with TWINS!

He issued a comment right after he was done with the interview. He said ‘they’ because they dont know if the baby is male or female yet.
Plus is she was pregnant with twins she would be MUCH bigger.
I don’t believe anything Pete Wentz says after he totally lied about her being pregnant in the first place. It definitely sounds to me like he knew he screwed up in that interview.

It’s obvs just a grammatical error…he’s using ‘they’ as a genderless singular pronoun.
I don’t know…I think I agree with Beet. Earlier in the interview he definitely was talking as if it was just one when he mentions “bean”, and then when he said “them” he fumbles a bit.
I’ve never been a big fan of Pete Wentz, but I think he seems like a decent guy lately. He seems to genuinely care for his wife and family.
If they’re having twins, good for them. It’s not really all that big of news, either way, at least in my opinion.

He lied about her being pregnant in the first place to respect her wishes. I’d assume that the “they” is because they don’t know the gender yet… a lot of people having children prefer “they” to “it”, though “it” is infinitely funnier.
I agree with Ariana. He obviously just using “them” (incorrectly) to describe the singular baby whose sex he doesn’t want to reveal. Rumors are being sparked over nothing.
Why in the hell are they wearing sunglasses at night? Page Corey Hart! He might know.
I love how stars wear their sunglasses anywhere and everywhere, no matter what time of day! Does that mean I can keep my sunglasses on when I’m stoned and want a donair? I know they can tell!!
Um….Beet? He gave a statement to Perez categorically denying the twin thing. Just thought you should know.
He did that because they’re all attention and drama whores. He married into that extra chromosome lookin family, and now he has to play along. Or Papa Joe will take him out back and southern-style whoop his ass. And by that, I mean like the Deliverance kind of whoop ass. Don’t forget your KY, Pete.

I still think that it may have been a slip. Sure, he COULD have been using “them” and “they” as meaning he/she but I’m not sure he’s that “smart”. I think he flubbed and then realized that his wife was about to kill him.
Besides, they’re not old enough for twins, meaning they didn’t use IVF like the other Hollywood hos with twins (Angie, JLo, Marcia Cross, the list goes on and on). It was an oopsie, remember? It’s probably just one baby.
these are not complex people. their every word does not need to be dissected to find truth. you know theyre going to give lame vague statements and avoid questions until the last possible minute. much like after her nose job. the simpson PR team works overtime.
she looks amazing though, marriage and pregnancy and red hair all suit her.

I’m still really confused about this whole issue – i can see neither of them with children. Especially Pete Wentz, moody emo kid.
What the hell are their kids going to be like?
