Could anything about this possibly be more cliche?

Ugh.

This video is more like a fantasy for them because there is no way they would all be livin’ those lives on thier post NKOTB salaries. Please go out with some dignity…

  2. Josh Says:

Actually, I think some of them did alright for themselves after NKOTB died out. One got into real estate, and Donny became an actor, and didn’t Joey and Jordan have widely played singles at some point?

  3. Ugh Says:

I’m blaming my pregnancy hormones on this, but I love it. Love the song, love the cheesy video.

  4. Gabriela Says:

    Aren’t they embarrassed?

    I am. For them.

  5. wileEcoyote Says:

    *cringe*

  6. Alanna Says:

Shockingly bad. Not even in the so-bad-it’s-good way, either.

  7. Persistent Cat Says:

Was this written for them back in the day? I mean, they are pushing 40, are they seriously singing about girls wearing mini-skirts and asking for numbers but can’t call after 10. WTF???

Love the Blackberry “it’s on,” shot, fuck they are major players.

I love thinking of credible artists singing that kind of shit, like U2 or Springsteen. Just think of Bono or Bruce starting ever song with “girl.”

  8. Sugarbzzz Says:

I effing loved NKOTB growing up. The song isn’t bad, but the video’s what you’d expect from a boyband. (Is it me or is their dancing a little more awkward this time around?!)

Oh, and Jon should never try to grow facial hair. Ever. lol

  9. Priscilla Says:

i am not even gonna waste a second of my life watching this video,, the song stinx and i olny heard 15 seconds of it. i loved nkotb when i was 12, but shit, the song is sooo teenybop, i mean it’s even perverted 30 year olds talking bout a “girl” hello!

  10. Poppanna Says:

    Woohooo! Split screen! Booya!

When NKOTB were active and under 30, I was still a little too unborn to like them, I was more of a Backstreet Boys… girl. Whatever.

But this video is GOLD, people, don’t you see it?! They are comic geniuses! Goddamnd it, they’re funny!

I refuse to believe that they are serious. Because that just goes beyond every possible human thought.

  11. gema Says:

At last we can now explain how New Kids on the Block vanished off the face of the earth all those years ago…clearly they jumped into a time machine and blasted their way forward to 2008!!! Its the only excuse possible for this 90s-looking video!!

Ahhh back in the days when The Backstreet Boys + white suits + 5 men dancing together in a line was sooooo hot!!

I think the video director was either in that time machine with them…or was clearly taking the p*ss out of the has-beens!!

  12. emilia Says:

I’m sorry, but I still love Donnie (even with the receeding hairline).. and Jordan isn’t looking too bad these days either. yeah, the song is cheesy… what bothers me more is that they are still new KIDS on the block. I’m 32 and I know they are older than me.. close to 40 I would say.. certainly not KIDS.
As far as the music.. I can’t see them becoming edgy or anything.. this is just what they can do.
    I love them anyway… nostalgia

  13. booders Says:

Now at the age of 33.. having grown a bit of a sense of humor, i can almost see how they have too. It appears to be a parody of sorts. I told my mother once that I would love them forever!. I was 14. and It was 1989. Yes, I just won tickets to their show the other day, (that I have been trying to win since then) and I about peed myself, I didnt realize that I still had all that excitement inside!. I quickly ran to youtube and posted like 5 of their videos on myspace..(yes, i know) and I got a tear, It just brought back all my dorky childhood memories.. They make me feel young again and I love them for that. Thank you “boys”…

  14. swillz Says:

HORRIBLE….and by horrible, I mean AWESOME!

  15. Stacy Says:

I luv the song & the video…this isn’t a song about older guys singing about ‘girls’.. smart ones, they are reminiscing about when they were younger and singing about girls they met in the past…and as far as living this life (in the video) with their post nkotb salaries..what? for ur information they did pretty good for themselves post nkotb, and anyways they made forbes list for highest paid entertainers for the hundreds of millions they made as nkotb, so I hardly think they are wanting for cash…and they are on their way to reaching that success again, so deal with it….I luv nkotb!!

  16. emerald130 Says:

I loved NKOTB when i was young, I had everything they had possibly come out with including towels, dolls, etc lol. Their new song isnt all that bad, kinda catchy, definately interested to see what else they got coming for us :)

  17. Nicola Says:

Um. I loved NKOTB back in the day, and I was very impressed that Donnie was in kick ass movies such as “Band of Brothers”, “Saw 3″, …that one about the killer puppets, silence something….anyway, he was on his way to becoming a very respectable actor, talk about mid life crisis for the old timers, word to the wise…..New Kids, past, your old, deal with it!

  18. Anna Says:

Jordan is cute, The rest have just not aged well….and the video is extremely cheesy…haha

  19. Amanda Says:

I have no sound going, but just the Blackberry’d “It’s on” message from Donnie was enough to elicit such laughter as to make everyone in the office think I’ve suddenly gone into some sort of Tourette’s fit. Funny how everyone is rich and muscled, and suave(ish) looking….like after all this time, they still want you to think they’re too cool (oh please like me!!)…well, maybe in elementary school, but I’m 26 now and “NKOTB” will only ever exist to me as a summer memory with their latest tape blaring, my friends and I puffing on candy cigarettes, wishing we could marry Jordan Knight…

  20. dani Says:

this song is one of their best. this song is a great song for the summer. so i say go head NKOTB u still got t :)

  21. newkidsfan4ever Says:

You guys that claim to be new kids fans and are totally baggin’ them and the video are total losers. If you were a TRUE fan you’d stick behind them whatever. But yeah, I love the song, and have loved them since 1988 and will love them till the day I die. And I just spent $750 for 2 tix to see them and meet them backstage with my niece, who I got her to loving them when I was young. So yeah, my loyalty for them will never disappear. Joey (my fave), Jordan, Jon (who looks damn good with that facial fur imo), Donnie (who looks freaking awesome with the lack of hair on top), and Danny… I look forward to meeting you guys when you hit Tampa. Even though I’ve met Joe on a couple of occasions, I still get uber excited to meet him still, and this time I get to meet ALL of you guys.

    LOVE YOU GUYS! XOXO

  22. cokopfs Says:

New Kids, old kids, I’m a fan forever..Loving the new single and who ever said they didn’t age well is blind..they are hotter than ever, especially Donnie, SEXY HOT!! You don’t like thier music, don’t listen. For us diehards, it’s like the second coming that they are back. Going to Tampa to see them. It’s going to be a long summer..

  23. jennifslvst Says:

Im glad to see them back there so cute!!

  24. Susana Says:

Well, I love the song even if it is cheesy and teenboppy.

I think Donnie still looks hot and Joey will always be a cutie pie.

I don’t think Jordan aged well at all.
But, seriously, does every song have to have anorexic looking girls in there videos?

Where is the reality in this? Obviously they must not have that good looking of a girl in real life, if the only one was Joey who had pics online of his girl.
(Scratch that, she was a hottie)

But, seriously, you can’t even do google for pics of their post nktob girls.
And everything i have been reading about Jordan has been a shame.
I truly thought he would do better than sound like an alcoholic.

At any rate, they did have the gutts to come back though.
But, if this is a flash back video for them, then why are they driving those fine cars?
There is no way they had cars like that during nkotb.
Anyways, at least we have all grown up to know better lol.

  25. kamkaroo Says:

Love it. I miss my days of youth! This just brings back good memories and makes me smile…nothing wrong with that! Can’t wait for the concert!!

  26. Tiff Says:

Them.. Off the Meat Rackz and Chain’s baby. Welcome Back to the Boyband Era Suckas. 8)

  27. Chris Says:

Don’t Like It? Ignore it. Shouldn’t even post it in the first place dude. Wasting seconds in your life :)

  28. Amanda Says:

just wondering, when did this song come out?

  29. Still A Fan Says:

I still love them even though I’m 30. I’m glad they came back. Nothing else could make you feel young again. I’m sorry if not all of you agree, but I think that they still look good for their age. They’re still talented. Why not continue on???

  30. BankerAng Says:

I am 29 years old,and still a fan! I love the new video and song Summertime. It has a great beat. I am excited that they are back together. Hope to go to a concert this year!
