Meet 11-year-old Amanda Balon, who’s currently playing Annie in the U.S. tour of the musical. She showed up at an event in Times Square to sign CDs for the 30th anniversary cast recording.
When Annie was running on Broadway 30 years ago, Sarah Jessica Parker had the title role.

SJP has pipes like that? I never would have guessed it. That first Gap commercial she did (not the Lenny Kravitz one, the other one) belied any actual vocal talent she may have…
Actually SJP was a horrible Annie. She could not belt like Andrea McArdle could, and she just had a plain ol’ lousy voice.
Actually, for those of you who diss SJP, have you actually heard her as Annie? She may not have had the best voice, but she certainly could belt it out.

I always hated that musical. I remember my mom took me to see it. I never had the heart to tell her Annie sucks!
Just hearing Tomorrow makes me want to put a bullet in my skull.
no that is not a wig it is her real hair … and i still like her act and her voice i like Tomorrow becuse it is very good well done and i copy her voice too so yeah i like Annie
