Nick Hogan Sues Sheriff Over Release of Jail Phone Conversations

Nick Bollea (Hogan) is suing a Florida sheirff’s department for releasing tapes of his jailhouse conversations with his mother and father.
“Nick only asks that he be treated no differently than the other inmates at the Pinellas County Jail,” says Nick’s attorney in a statement. “Instead, the Sheriff’s Office has singled him out by the unprecedented release to the media of his personal calls with his family.”
In the tapes, released to the media under a public records request, Nick calls the victim a “negative person,” asks his father to set up a reality show for him after he gets out of jail and complains about the size of his cell.

Honestly, I’m kind of siding on Nick’s side. He’s doing his time and he’s whining like a bitch, but that’s his own private matter. He should be treated no differently than the other jail mates. Granted, he does have a few more advantages than them, but that’s what I’ve come to expect with celebrities. At least his other requests have been denied. The sheriff really needs to quit leaking his phone calls and just leave the brat alone.

All of the conversations are the property of the Sheriff, and can be FOIA’d, which is what happened, anyone can have copies of other inmates phone conversations too, but funny thing – They aren’t Hulk Hogan’s son who took the top of his friends head off in a street racing crime. Sorry little dude, you are going to lose. But have mommy and daddy sue away instead of settling the claim for damages for John’s injuries. Although when he dies I hope little hoganette is charged with manslaughter and will do time twice for the crime. Life can be sweet that way. Douche bags all of them.
All jail conversations are recorded and it is public info if the media requests it. And the tapes get released all the time.
This kid was a dangerous driver who had been pulled over for speeding before the accident. Jail is not meant to be comfortable.

Ok. Sheriff did not leak the tapes. It was released to the media under a request for public information from the media. It’s a form that anyone can fill out and request information that is considered public. You can do it for any prisoner. I used to work for government and we would get requests for information that you would not beleive. Goverment officials pay, memos, all kinds of stuff.
Bottom line, Sherrif couldn’t keep this private if he wanted to. Nick was treated like all the other prisoners, just the media does not care about other prisoners.
