Ali reminds me of those girls who just want attention so badly that they’ll blow any guy that looks at them twice. Or once, if it’s a really long look. Man, I’m glad my mum laid down the law on not wearing pounds of make-up when I was that age… otherwise I’d end up looking like Ali. Thanks mum, for realizing that looking your age IS a good thing when you’re 14.
Dakota Fanning is adorable, and will always be. I love that she is smiling from ear to ear, whereas Ali is just being a snooty twat. Many fine suitors will come to Dakota… and an army of fine STI’s for the other one.

My almost 11 year old daughter thought that Dakota looked 12 and that Ali looked 21. That’s from a child’s eyes. It was a good visual for me to use though, the girl on the LEFT is who you DO want to be (or look) like–the girl on the RIGHT is who you DON’T want to be (or look) like! Then I had to explain what skank meant. I’ll have to watch what I say under my breath~!

I agree, Dakota is dressed like a 10-year old. I’m thinking waaaaaaaay back to when I was 14 and it was all about getting boys to notice you (and if I knew what a blow job was then, I knew I didn’t want to give one) BUT my dad would have dragged me into the washroom and washed my face if I dared wear that much make-up. Being 14 is about stealing cheap eye liner from the drug store and putting in on in the mall’s bathroom and wiping it off on the bus ride home. Not about starring in your (read: mother’s) reality show about getting “famous.”

One more thing - Ali seems to look like most 14 year olds do now (not that it’s a good thing though!) - the ones I see around dress like ladies of the evening and wear eyeshadow up to their eyebrows. I saw a girl on the bus a few months ago with a corset on for a shirt and she said “fuck” in every single sentence. 14 yr olds don’t look like they used to. I would have guessed that Dakota was 10, or younger.

Dakota Fanning was born in the town where I live (Conyers, Ga.) and her extended family still lives here. Her dad, Steve, grew up here and they’re just a good old small town family with southern values. My son played rec ball with some of the Fanning family. Dakota and her family still come to Conyers to see family and you can’t walk into the local places without seeing a lovely signed picture from Dakota on the walls. (Holly Hunter grew up here too.) Ali Lohan is a manufactured Stepford child who is being groomed to be another cash cow for her trash mom.
Way to go, Fanning Family, for keeping your kid (and Elle too) exactly as she should be.

Wow….I can’t believe how different they both look. At first I thought that they were comparing Dakota to a 17 year old. Then I looked harder and saw that it was ALLIE LOHAN????They both don’t look their age. First of all, I know that times are different from say, the days that my parents grew up, but um, no matter how young my parents looked, they didn’t look as young as dakota. second I”M 14, and I look about 16. Yeah, Allie maybe you want the older roles, so your trying to look 18? and Dakota maybe you want the younger ones, so your trying to look 12? Its just that (I know this has nothing to do with it ) if you want the roles Dakota, I have no idea how your trying to dress, because if you want the younger roles, don’t wear a strapless dress, and don’t make your dresses look like a 35 year old would wear. i think dakota looks great in this picture. i love her dress. i’m almost sixteen, and i’d wear it. i don’t think it makes her look any younger than she should.

I am 14 too and Dakota and me are two days apart. I definately look so much older I guess and I hope I didn’t look as old as Ali Lohan. Ali’s much better looking than Lindsay. I have visible boobs unlike Dakota and I don’t wear makeup unlike Ali. Haha.
