Does Anyone Else Watch Jon & Kate Plus Eight?

This is the new show that I’m a little bit obsessed with, and I desperately need someone to talk to about it and none of my real-life friends watch it. So I’m gonna try with you guys.
It’s a reality show on TLC, on Monday nights, but reruns show up all the time.
Here’s the basics: Jon & Kate got married. Jon & Kate had twin girls, Cara and Madelyn. And then they decided to try for just one more, and ended up with sextuplets, three girls and three boys. So now Jon & Kate have eight children. The twin girls are seven years old and the babies are 3 1/2. And the show is about their life.
At first I started watching it because I was like “Awww, babies! Babies are cute!” And the babies are cute, and it’s fascinating to watch how intelligent and aware and communicative children are at just 3 years old, but what got me hooked is the relationship between Kate and Jon.
I mean, is it just me, or does Jon absolutely hate Kate? I mean, Kate, while doing her very best to be a good mother, is totally neurotic and overbearing and controlling and just plain old mean to Jon. She corrects his grammar constantly, tells him how stupid and inconsiderate he is, and at one point even yells at him for breathing too loud. And Jon kind of takes it in stride because he loves his kids, but I think somewhere deep down he really just wants to murder Kate and dump her body in a river, and frankly I don’t blame him. But it’s hilarious to watch.
Is anyone else picking this up, or is this just how all married couples with children interact? If so, maybe marriage and children are overrated …

I used to feel that way too. Kind of the reason why I stopped posting here. I used to be a regular for a while. But he really is harmless. I was astounded by some of his comments and I think that most of his views are meant to be sarcastic. I could be wrong but I think he tries to get our goats on purpose. Kind of like a little boy pulling the little girl’s braid in front of him. The problem is… you decide “what a loser” and then he goes and says something deep. Ha. Anyway I truly think he is harmless and tries to be insulting to get the reaction. He actually is a nice guy when you give him a chance. But you are right… he needs to take time and spell check! LOL.
YA KNOW WHAT GIVE POOR KATE A BREAK. IF YOU HAD EIGHT KIDS WOULDN’T YOU BE A LITTLE ON EDE AT TIMES. NO ONE IS PERFECT, AND PERSONALLY I THINK THAT JON IS THE ONE IN THE WRONG HERE. MY GOODNESS HE CHEATED ON HIS WIFE! HOW COULD YOU DO A THING LIKE THAT TO YOUR WIFE? TILL DEATH DO US PART REALLY DOES MEAN SOMETHING APPARENTLY NOT TO HIM THAT CHEATING DOG! I AM SO DISGUSTED WITH HIM. I DO LIKE KATE I FEEL SO SORRY THAT SHE HAS TO GO THROUGH THIS. SOME GOOD ADVICE FOR HER IS TO READ HER BIBLE AND GET SOME EXTRA SLEEP. FOR JON…….UMMMM..TRY TO SAVE YOUR MARRIAGE!!
you are so right about jon and kates relationship. i cant read his mind but i think its obvious that kate is a controller. Its like she thinks hes a baby.
she gets what she deserves, no one wants to be treated like jon has been.
she causeses it all. seems like he can do nothing right in her eyes. no man would put up with her crap. she will gro old & be all alone,because no one could stand her. she has even cut her own family off, she is so self centered
What about Kate and her affair? You never hear anything about that. Its all Jon and his affair. Yes she drove him away. Its real sad that she is letting all the fame and money ruin her life and family. Kate is a GREEDY B!!!!!!
There has never been any proof that Kate had an affair, if she did then she is alot more subtle than Jon about the way to hide it. He didnt even try. He made it very public to try to hurt Kate, not thinking about how much it would hurt his children and his own personal public image. He deserves everything he has gotten. He is a worthless jerk. And Aunt Jody should know what Jon is like, when her husband was helping with the garage, he was actually the one doing all the work while Jon did all the talking. I am sorry that Aunt Jody is no long part of the show, I think she was a valuable person to have in the childrens life.
By the time Jon LEFT ….that POOR guy was D O N E !! Hen pecked to death and BEATEN TO A PULP (for mispronouncing a word? And on camera??)

SO over the fakey victim voiced KATE (love the quivering and innocent act !) PLEEEEEEZE!!!!!!
P.S. and by the way SHE PICKED HIM…..
I have never heard of a “BLOG” until this show(J &K +8) took a turn.
First and the most important, Shame On Both of You!! As we were taught it takes two to tangle.
Maybe Jon should have layed low for a little while (instead of advertising his love life), and Kate needs to stop her “SELF PITY” episodes!!
I will not buy into the series any longer.
And what about the people who assisted you with all that babysitting? They were truly good friends who loved your family. But did they get compensated for their services? (Especially Kevin and Jody Kreiger and most of all Beth Carson).
I feel embarssed for Jon and Kate’s decisions when it came down to determining who would get paid for being on their show.
Did the both of you actually believe that this reality series show would go on forever? Now that all the children are in school, it’s not so interesting anymore.
It’s time to give the public a break and end this show, as it would benefit the entire Gosselin Family.
