I'm a former professional ballet dancer and while figure skating is very hard, it's not harder than dancing, just different. I think skating on ice equates with turning on the tips of your toes, right? I think Kristi's advantage had far more to do with the fact that she was used to training long hours and being perfect than actually being good at dancing.
