Happy 5th Birthday, Rowan! Have Some Raw Fish!

May 15th, 2008 by Evil Beet

Brooke Shields’ little daughter Rowan turned five on Thursday.

And where did Brooke take the adorable red-head to celebrate?

Peter Piper Pizza?

McDonalds?

Disneyland?

No, no, no.

Rowan went to Katsuya.

Because the only thing a five-year-old likes better than smoked tuna carpaccio is salmon egg sashimi.

She is 5 :O And being carried! She looks 3!
    Gosh though, poor kid.

  2. judy Says:

You’d be surprised. My stepdaughter has been eating salmon roe rolls since she was about 5.

  3. daffylass Says:

Feed that tiny little kid more artificial ingredient-filled American food so she can be a hulking overweight 5 year old like the rest of the kids at school and not get the crap beat out of her on the playground. Sushi, meh! I bet if you put a plate of sushi in front of her and a plate of uncooked Chicken McNuggets and let her pick old Ronald M. would win that contest hands down every time.

That’s not Rowan, I think thats Greer.

My 5 yr old loves sushi. She’s in kindagarten & next week Wed is her last day of school. So we are going out for sushi to celebrate. Is that weird? I love that she’s isn’t picky & will eat other food than just kid food.

Yeah — I was about to second all of these comments. For MY fifth birthday, I wanted a Poo-Poo platter from a local Chinese restaurant (or is it Pu Pu? Like I fucking know, and I have the mentality of a twelve year old, so deal with it) — NOT a happy meal.

Kids are more individualized than people give them credit.

my 7 year old LOVES sushi. who’d guess.

    That isn’t a five year-old.

    (Really? That’s a five year-old? )

I hope my kid likes sushi when she’s 5–she’s 2 now and munches on kale and broccoli like they’re cake. (Of course she eats her fair share of cake etc tool. I love how Brooke looks in this photo–like a normal mom, not a surgery-enhanced Hollywood mom. It’s so refreshing.

    sushi BARF!!!!!

  14. quirkygirlkitten Says:

at least brooke isn’t feeding her kids fast food crap.

  15. Barb Says:

We told my daughter for her 5th birthday that she could either have a party or we’d spend the night in the city and have sushi at her favorite restaurant for dinner. Luckily for me, she’s selfish (no pun intended!) that way, and went for the sushi. Maybe it’s not that common everywhere, but on the west coast, maybe not *most*, but tons of kids eat sushi. Not everything you get at a sushi bar is raw, so it’s not uncommon to see toddlers popping edamame like m&m’s and scarfing down cucumber rolls.

Her daughter looks sweet. She should be a responsed mom.Her blog and photos were found at milllionaire&celeb datingsite —”AffluentBachelors.com”—- last week. I am wondering what kind of relationship she is seeking on that site.

I’ll bet the it’s more for the chef doing the big showy grill thing with the flaming onion volcano and such. My 8 year old niece and 5 year old nephew love going to sushi restaurants, and they hate sushi.

Brooke Shields look rough as buggery! With all her money, you think she’d sort herself out!
