Jodie Foster has reportedly broken up with her girlfriend of 14 years, Cydney Bernard.
The couple have two young children together.
Now, granted, the source on this is the National Inquirer, but still …
Sad!

I was not shocked she broke up with anyone. I was somewhat taken aback by the fact she is gay. Not that it is bad, I simply didn’t know. Well, you learn something new every day. I keep whining about May being a big break up month, because I am going through one, but really, this month with all of the break-ups, just really sucks. May 2008 has not been great. Poor Jodie and kids!

Don’t “beet” yourself up devilgirl - I was in the dark about Jodie being gay too. It wasn’t until I got hooked on this site that I found out, and really, does anyone but her and her friend know for sure???

Here is a news flash for some of you: Lance Bass, George Michael, and Ellen DeGeneres are gay too. Yes, shocking I know. :p
However I would have never guessed in a thousand years Doogie Howser was gay.

Didn’t some magazine like a year ago out her without her consent? The issue was the most influential gay people and they had two models on the cover one holding up a picture of Jodie Foster over their face and the other face was that news reporter dude…. Anderson Cooper??

Jodie was a child star that didn’t drink or drug her way through. Then she became an adult actress actually supporting herself, and her children. No crotch shots and no look at me I’ve set my hair on fire poses. Class act all the way around. Peace to her and her family.

How did this whole conversation go from Jodie Foster ending her 14 yr relationship to a high school “oh my God WHO’s gay?” talk about homosexuality? Am I the only one who thinks the point was missed here? Life is life and people are people. It’s a shame when any relationship straight or gay ends. Whether it’s a marriage or civil union, it is sad and painful for all involved.

Dr Starling move over - I found Jodie Foster’s next movie Oscar-winning role! Dr. Jill Bolte Taylor who wrote “”My Stroke of Insight”" and delivered a talk about it on TED.com that will knock your socks off! The video’s been seen 5 million times and I understand why.
Taylor was a Harvard trained brain scientist who suffered a massive stroke. I don’t think we’ll ever hear a story like this - Taylor understands how the brain functions and she was able to observe her mind deteriorating. She writes about the euphoric nirvana and a sense of complete peace and well-being she discovered in her stroke! She talks about this in her incredible (don’t miss it) talk on TED.com. The book is great too - highly recommended. You’ll learn how to ’step to the right of their left brain’ to uncover a deep internal peace. Sign me up!
